Such beautiful colours! I love the cells, they give a bigger illusion of movement to the piece and as always the table scatterings give it that "Joie de Vivre" bling feeling. Your sculptures always have such movement, beauty and lush colours! Thank you for sharing your time with us ❤🇨🇦

Hi Miss Sharon I am new to resin making I know you're in the UK, I'm in the US. I did check out your Amazon link for the kind of resin that you use, I'm in the US, but maybe have a recommendation, I made my first piece a couple days ago, but the Resin was a couple years old, the contact paper again a couple years old. So I'm just trying to do a piece for my mom, who's struggling with brain & Lung Cancer Right now. I'm very ambitious, I used Shells from my Sister's Wedding, I had Some Cobalt Moranno Sea Glass that I Went bam bam on & used that to do a beach themed Resin Sculpture. I know, Anywho, The resin stuck to the Contact paper, I learned a lot. Just thought you might be able to guide me on the type of resin & Paper to use. I tried to use Pam a mold release, so idk. I think I draped it to soon. Anywho, Any help would be very grateful. ❤❤ I'm in the US and I love all your videos.

Hello, sorry for the late response I gave myself a little break for creating. I do patch test before I use on a big piece but I look for high shiny paper. Contact paper (one for backing books of shelves) is a good place to start or florist paper it's like a cellophane. Also Art Resin might be a good Resin to start with. Look for medium viscosity. Timing is important you want to bending, take but not runny and not too firm so maybe set a timer each hour and test. you want it first to touch like putty. Hope that helps some what

Hi Sharon. It's been a while since I've watched many videos. As you can see, I'm no longer just an eyeball in my thumbnail. The sculpture is beautiful as with everything you do. I'll be trying to look out for more of your videos again. Sorry it's been so long. I had a few major changes to my life and things got a bit much for me to try and keep up. My heart was one of those things. I have obstructive cardiomyopathy. Too much blood was being fed to the wall that divides the two chambers of the heart and it was causing thickening and hardening to my heart. I had to have alcohol oblation and that caused me to have a heart attack on the table during the procedure to destroy the artery. I knew that would happen, but I had no idea of how bad it would be. The procedure was a success for awhile, but I'm having trouble now with keeping well hydrated. I can blame diabetes for that. LOL! I love seeing the dogs. They are adorable 😍😍😍 Until next time. I’ve never considered swiping the resin, it looks beautiful. Do you think this would work if I used parchment paper? Or paper nonstick for oven cooking? Very pretty.

Anything shiny should mean your Resin should peel away format. If in doubt use a test piece, put a do on it and pull it off when cured. Unless you are talking about there swiping part, if so they yes is should just gently. Good luck

LOL I am sure it was the cell base product but it smells link standard gloss paint so might try a small sample from Bunnings see it if works the same.
