Wow, this is exactly what I had the inclination to do the last few days and it seems you had the same thoughts around the same time. However you actually managed to get it going, great stuff. Out of interest, are you familiar with MySWG? I believe there's a git repository and the idea behind it is to create a single player experience out of SWGEmu. Do you know how one would integrate that into their private/solo server such as this?

No, never heard of MySWG. Single player sounds like it would be a massive task to get working. In this setup, from what I could tell, I think the swgemu folks hadn't given everything available on the blue frogs. So you can't give yourself full Jedi or a working lightsaber which is slightly annoying. Was only doing this as have always wanted to see how powerful the Jedi really were back then. I know people say they were but never got to experience a jedi until the CU and the village, then stopped playing for a while then the NGE came in a ruined it all.

@@TheStevenWhiting MySWG is already up and running as far as I understand it. It just requires hosting on a server. Have you managed to figure out more of the admin commands and so on, by the way? Perhaps there's a way to give yourself more powers and so on like that.

Can the server be ran/directly hosted off of Windows or is it required to use the LinuxBox for it?

Not actually tried but think it was designed to run under Linux. You can just stick it on a dedicated linux box, the VM is just a way of running it within your Windows setup. Its possible it could run under Windows as I think the import just creates files in the directory we set in Windows, that Linux then can see. But I think you could possibly try and run those via CMD. I might try it on another VM.

I have the server up, I have the ADMIN name for my account in yellow GOD MODE but none of the commands work as I have previous used in prior none WSL builds. any help to get these to work? I have added the commands to the client config already

I have yet to work out how to use any admin commands. I assume you use them in chat?

@@TheStevenWhiting When i set this server up previously not through WSL. you could type /kill to kill anything, /createcreature rancor would spawn a rancor or /tele 1 1 would teleport you to 1 1 on that planet, etc. but none of these work under this build.. i can not get anything to work now

try spawning a rancor in by typing /createcreature rancor does that work for you?
