I absolutely adore sweet F23 ❤❤ Her soft sweet vocals make my heart happy. Of course I have adored M15 for years as well, but it is so wonderful to witness how sweet they are to each other. Such a treat to observe a non-bossy, sweet and mostly quiet female Eagle (except for food deliveries of course 😂).

Hello Melissa well their relationship and the events that we are seeing tonight are really not as confusing as a lot of people are making it out to be. Gabby & Beau are just not in sync as a couple at this time. Beau is young and inexperienced and only wants to mate and bring in sticks/moss - he is not ready to incubate the egg, he does not have the hormones directing him to do that right now. No fault or blame on him at all - it is just the way it is. I think if Gabby had hooked up with A1 or any other experienced male then this sort of thing would not have happened (Beau burying the egg). I do think that given time, Gabby & Beau can develop a deeper bond and be more in sync. If not then we will see this repeat itself. First time partners and potential parents can be challenging to watch. I have seen many failed nests with a first time Dad or Mom so I am not really surprised at this situation. But I did have hope that Beau's instincts to incubate would kick in. ♥

LH...did you see the pink mark on M's forehead ? Looks like the mark we thought was dirt may have been some sort of injury.

Hi @eileenjones3918 It's only my opinion, but I remember when he brought that huge stick in and the mark was fresh. At first I thought maybe he got into a brief dust-up possibly over food with another animal/bird. We didn't get to see him retrieving that branch. Possibly he struggled a little to get that hunk of lumber free of some underbrush and got whacked in the head by some smaller sharper twigs in the process? I don't know, who knows?🙅‍♀ But, you're right by picking up on the pinkness of it now........sort of like a pale faded dried out old blood stain. All in a day in the life of being an eagle I suppose.😊 I'm curious too if LH might have the official scoop on that.

That nest looks so comfortable, those eaglets are getting a first class bed for when they arrive. Just love watching the progression and bond between M15&F23, can't wait to see them bring up their young together🦅❤🦅 Thank you LH from UK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Lady Hawk, (or anyone that may know) I don't know if you'll know this. I hate to even ask. I'm certainly not being ungrateful for the wonderful experience the current cameras offer us. Is the camera by the pond ever coming back? I just realized there's a camera on the nest they covered up with sticks. So that may be it for nest cams here. To the Pritchett Family, I mean no disrespect. I appreciate the ability to watch these wonderous creatures. Many thanks and best wishes for a beautiful holiday.
