Isn't M15 simply formidable? Scanning the area for E23, his eyes taking in every movement, every shape , everything in every direction . . . joining E23 at the pond . . . so good that all three were in the same area. Thank you for such a great ( and I am sure uncomfortable filming against the sun) video-it is a gift to us all.

Ty, I so missed E23 yesterday! Only saw M. Just one day, but getting prepared for E23's leaving 😢. She's HUGE!! All that food! Standing tall, so pretty, such a tribute to mom and dad. A bit of the old Dracula Walk! Nice to know she's hanging/maybe roosting over there, a good intermediate spot. Is she trying to fish there, haven't seen her swoop at home since the ducks left. At least YP looks more free of the intense shrikes and mockingbirds this year. M was even snapping at them. I love watching M look for his family, his precious E and his lady love. What a season! 🤞 ❤️🦅🦅🦅

@LemonLadyRecords. YW 🙂. I did not see E23 attempt to fish in the twenty minutes or so I was there watching. There are plenty of pestering birds over there lol. M15 is the best! I have seen him take food to find his E’s and Harriet many times over the years. 💕

@loridonohue313. I waited 10-15 minutes before going over, as often E’s will get the food and fly back to the nest with it. I have missed that too many times by going over lol. E23 likely ate it before I got there; it wasn’t a large food item. They hang out at different spots; some we cannot see them at. Lots of ponds here, plus the river. 💜

@tigress5263. YW 🙂. They crack me up when they walk, and especially run, around on the ground. It is getting closer to average dispersal time, but we never really know what they will do. Four here took quite some time to leave, and one did not, until after the start of the following season. We will watch and see. 😁

Terri Stauffer. I think M15 had some time of RK when he came to the nest. I waiting 10 minutes or so before going over to YP. Sometimes they fly right back, so I waited a few. I hope E23 got it and downed it! M15 was taking it over there for E23. We have watched him do this many times over the years. 💕

Serap Mehmet. YW 🙂. Yonder Pond was so beautiful before that area was developed. It really was difficult to watch. It still works as a good fishing hole for urban eagles. The neighborhood is a quiet one, and there are trees for the eagles to perch in. M15 has always taken prey to find his E’s, and we saw him do it when he had food gifts for Harriet. If she didn’t fly in, he would take it and find her. He is the best! 💙

@pesyira. YW 🙂. E23 was a bit higher up so it is a little deceiving on the size difference. I think the eagles enjoy YP; it is relatively quiet there for an urban spot, and they have nice trees to perch in. It’s a bigger pond than the pasture, so it should have better fishing opportunity also. 💜🦅🦅💜

@janicebelleisle4427. E23 was sitting on a higher piece of ground, making him/her look even bigger. I do think E23 is a little bigger; juvenile feathers are longer/a little more broad, and that adds to the size appearance.

All videos help us when we're wondering is E23 ok did E23 leave for good etc all your various videos are amazing to see help us learn its very lovely there looks like alot of trees and ponds it makes me wonder where other than here fort meyers florida are these eaglets going? Do they all make it to adults? We're only seeing a small portion of their lives❤ hope they grow up to be amazing like M15 dad i sure miss Harriet with M15 but glad he found a mate.

Tbis is new to me...wow how nice they have two ponds no wonder we dont see them they have alot of other nice places to go😅😂❤ that's great🎉 wish i could afford to get outa Pittsburgh PA for a while i spend my life in and out of hospitals here. @@androcat12 how beautiful for eagles had to go to hospital again and again april 29 had 2 breast cancer surgeries and other health issues in pain however one day I'll get to florida maybe get a chance to see M15 in action flying thank you for videos the eagles are so patient caring protective and you cant help loving them

@susanmccarty5013. YW 🙂. I am not sure if that was M or F23. Looks like M’s build to me. I was hemmed in by a tiny view spot through the trees, so I couldn’t pan when they moved or flew. F23 flew once and flushed a sub that was over there too, but I couldn’t track her. The camera just focuses on the trees in front of me. M flew from the water’s edge and I couldn’t see where he went. 💜

@geterdonegranny1639. I think E23 is a little bigger than M15, and the juvenile feathers contribute to that appearance also. As for this video, E23 was sitting on a higher spot, M15 was just a little further back, and E23 had a different body position than M15. I think that did add to E23 looking even bigger.

I think it’s hilarious how the birds start dive bombing when they know it’s safe. I don’t notice that when the parents are egg sitting or the eaglets are young and vulnerable. They know they might be dinner if the eagle is determined to get them.

@jaeshasway. They are relentless 😬. The mockingbirds are nesting, and they usually have back to back clutches, so pestering will last a couple of months, just during that nesting season. The shrikes are feeding fledglings. I will try to remember to include a ground video of that from the other day. The adults impale their prey on a fence/branch, etc., and their chicks pull pieces off. The small pestering birds are simply defending their territory during their own nesting season. 🙂

Mama has a new male courting her, but it appears it will be next season before we get to watch. There are apparently some issues with the cam. Love to see them trotting around on the ground. Do these eagles spend more time on the ground near water than most eagles? Friends of BBV once mentioned that eagles don’t spend time on the ground because of predators. But maybe that’s just in Big Bear Valley.

@TheEmaile. I think eagles do spend time on the ground around water. I see it all the time here locally (we have a lot of ponds). The rangers at the old Kenai eagle cam in Alaska told me their river banks are full of eagles, especially young ones, foraging on salmon remains. A friend who has visited Juneau, AK, many times observes the same. Redding eagle cam has plenty of ground footage of their juvies on the ground, as well as Centerport eagle cam. If you do not already watch it, I recommend the Mississippi River Flyway Cam to watch eagle behavior. There are also many videos to watch from that cam. 🙂

As soon as I asked this, I remembered pics that I had seen of all the eagles feeding on salmon by the rivers in Alaska, but did also wonder if maybe that was unique to Alaska. Thank you for clearing that up! Also glad to hear that the eagles near you have lots of ponds to hang out at!

@amandacunningham4861. YW 🙂. The church next door to the farm allows visitors to watch from the side church yard. Please try not to be upset and worried. We are getting closer to dispersal time; they leave when they are ready, and some do stay longer. E23 spends time out of cam view, exploring, hopefully foraging/trying to catch a fish. What we hope for all season is for our E's to make it to fledge and eventual dispersal. That's a perfect ending to a season. 🩷
