Tack så mycket! I'm learning Swedish via Duolingo, and it doesn't really explain the Swedish letter "k" at all. This helped me a lot.

K is generally considered a hardcore, while the sound sh is considered a softcore. Thank you for your video lessons, this is more useful than most of what I came across. :)

is it safe to say k before a front vowel is soft and before a back vowel is hard?

This rules also applies to the letter 'G'? Cuz 'Gick" is pronounced with a 'J' sound instead of 'G' sound, also gift, gillade and on!
