Usually, the easiest way to tell what kind of moment it is, at least for college sports, is to look at the small numbers beside the team name. College sports rankings aren’t based on points systems. It’s literally a committee coming together and being like “this team is better than these teams.” If a lower-ranked or unranked team beats another team that is ranked like 1-5, that’s usually when you get people storming the court or the field. If both teams are ranked 1-4, it’s usually got something to do with the national championship or at least it can determine who goes to the national championship.

If you know football then you kind of know big plays. The play with the terrible video was THE MUSIC CITY MIRACLE . It was a play that took place on January 8, 2000, during the NFL's 1999-2000 playoffs. It occurred at the end of the AFC Wild Card playoff game between the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills at Nashville, Tennessee. Buffalo had just taken the lead with 16 seconds left (16-15) but Tennessee was able to return the kickoff for a touchdown and win the game. The Titans started one way and then threw the ball back to the other side of the field. Most people thought it was an illegal forward pass when they first saw it but after watching the replays most could see that it was a legal backward pass. The referee looked at the replay and for a few minutes and then came out to say that it was a legal play and the touchdown counted.

Still hard to believe we started a new franchise off here in OKC with Westbrook, Harden, KD, and Ibaka on the same team. Beat a Kobe Lakers in playoffs and made it to the NBA finals.. but those days are loooong gone. Now all we have are…. Draft picks and a prayer a couple of them become stars.

4:56 What you're suggesting is pass interference. In college, your plan would work because it's 15yds every time. In the NFL, however, pass interference is a spot foul. If the penalty happens in the endzone, ball is placed at the 1 yard line

To elaborate on this even further, some teams will absolutely take the penalty and hope their defense can stop them. It really depends on the defense, coach, and even players.

At 12:06, from MLB, was the moment the Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series. The Cubs hadn't won baseball's World Series since 1908, a span of 108 years! When the Cubs won the National League championship in 2016, it was for the first time since 1945. At 22:39, David Freese hit a game winnng home run in the 1th inning to win Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, and force a Game 7. The St. Louis Cardinals then won Game 7 to capture their 11th World Series championship. Both Games 6 and 7 were played in St. Louis, and Freese was born and raised in St. Louis.

5:05 I think if you’re absolutely certain that the play will result in a TD, you’d definitely prefer a penalty. However, that play looked like pretty good defense to me so there was no reason to purposely commit a penalty. It was better to just play it out and hope your guy forces an incompletion which the defender was in good position to do. He just happened to get outplayed by the receiver. Also, if you’re in an overtime “next score wins” situation, then committing a penalty there virtually loses you the game because the offense would get the ball at the 1 yard-line (since that’s where the penalty would be committed) and it would be pretty hard to stop them from scoring at that point, so the penalty wouldn’t be worth it.

you asked what happened to the Atlanta Falcons. The NFL has a strict salary cap, so teams often pay huge salaries to players for the hope that in a year or two they win the Superbowl. If they dont, they often have to trade their big names away because they try to structure the contracts to pay the least at the beginning of the contract and in the later years they owe more so to pay the new guys, they have to get rid of the old. A few teams, like New England, and Pittsburgh manage the cap very well, then you have the Detroits, Miamis, and the Jacksonvilles who never seem to get it right

To answer your penalty question, the offense can decline a defensive penalty, so a score would always count there. Now, there could be the argument to take the penalty instead of allowing the catch to begin with, but then you guarantee they get the ball there when the receiver can always drop it or mess up the catch

At the 16:15 mark, a taunting penalty wouldn't have mattered as those only effect the play AFTER the one it's committed on. The touchdown would have counted and the game would have been over either way.

"why didn't #15 take out the receiver, & take the penalty?" ..... This situation was in the endzone. This pass interference penalty( in the endzone) would've placed the ball at the 1 yard line, in a first&goal situation.

As far as the penalty at five minutes and 10 seconds for the Seahawks versus packers, yeah the defensive player had to go for the penalty to stop the Seahawks from going to the Super Bowl so that the Packers go to the Super Bowl. That's one of those weird situation's and I found that amazing that you had noticed that. You really know a lot about football at this point it seems props to you

In the NFL, by rule, a pass interference penalty in the end zone would put the ball at the 1-yard line. Better to play good defense and hope to break up the pass instead of a virtually guaranteed touchdown from the 1.

4:08 The defender was trying to foul to stop an easy basket (probably a dunk which would have fired up the crowd), force the other team to reset and give the rest of the defense a chance to get back. Westbrook saw it coming and took a shot, and since it went in he gets both the basket and one free throw attempt (a 1-point shot from 15 feet out, the defense can't interfere with the shot in any way but can rebound if he misses). 5:09 You can, but it's not very effective. Pass interference is a spot foul (ball advances to where the foul occurred) in the NFL, which makes the penalty equivalent to a guaranteed catch. It does stop the player from running after the catch, which might matter, and it doesn't result in an automatic touchdown if the penalty is in the end zone (it goes to the 1-yard line then), but most of the time, if you're in position to interfere, you're also in position to make a legitimate play on the ball. In college, the penalty is limited to a maximum of 15 yards, so it makes a little more sense there, but it's still almost always better to play legitimate defense and hope the receiver drops it if all else fails. 8:04 The video of it is poor, but yeah, most NFL fans will recognize the play pretty easily. Known as the Music City Miracle - Buffalo had just kicked a field goal to take a 16-15 lead with 16 seconds left, and Tennessee scored that touchdown on the kickoff return to answer and win. 10:21 That's because Alabama's been on a massive run lately - in the eight years since the championship playoff grew to four teams, Alabama has only missed it once. This was one of the title games they lost; the long pass in overtime against Georgia was in the title game a different year. 14:08 This was during a playoff series - pretty much every American sports league has a tournament at the end of the season where the teams that did the best during the season play for the championship. The NBA has the top 8 teams from each half of the league (Eastern Conference and Western Conference) play three rounds to determine the conference champions, who then play in the NBA Finals. Each round is a best-of-7 series - first to win four games advances to the next round. That was Portland's 4th win in the opening-round series. 16:59 Checking to see whether the shot was worth 2 or 3 points. For a 3-pointer, the shooter must have both feet entirely behind the 3-point arc at the point where they last touched the ground. On the line or inside, it's only worth 2.

The only thing the DB could have done was knock the ball down or catch it, if he were to pull or push or straight up tackle #15 before he touched the ball then the whole offense would get moved up to where the penalty occurred, this is called defensive pass interference. The next play would start right in front of the score line.

Alabama vs Auburn is one of the major rivalries in College Football. The rivalry is called the Iron Bowl. I don't know exactly why. On top of that Alabama is currently one of the best teams in College Football and has been for a while.. So Chris Davis return was a very big deal. Some of those baseball & basketball plays were in the playoffs, and were series deciding wins. Playoffs for football, both College & NFL are single elimination, win or go home. For baseball and basketball playoff games typically are "best of" series. I think the MLB wild card is currently single elimination. The round after that is best of 5 then the rest of the rounds are best of 7. I think NBA is best of 7, but I'm not sure of that. Just getting a base hit is hard, a Home Run is harder. The pitcher can put spin, or not put spin, on the ball to make it curve. The batter has to start swinging be bat before he knows whether or not the ball is going to curve, or which direction it's going to curve.

when you asked about that seatle and greenbay game, why you wouldnt just wrap around him and take a penalty? its because the penalty for pass interference is a completely new set of 4 downs for offense and they get the ball where the penalty happened. so in this case sine the penalty would have happened at the goal line like you were saying. It would have been 1st and goal at the goalline. thats why the nfl has rules to go against what you were saying.

@5:05 definitely comit the penalty of you have no chance of stopping the TD. This was good coverage tho so better to risk the catch. Defensive pass interference is a spot foul so they would get the ball at your one yard line with a new set of downs. Would you have rather risk him catching the ball on that play or give them 4 chances from your one?
