Probably one the best mess kits there is

I have 5 M40's, stainless steel. They fit in the Swedish Gas Mask bag with all of the parts to include the windscreen, burner, fuel bottle, flame adjustment cap, 2 butter dishes I use to hold the salt and pepper, flatware and more. The bag can be strapped to your pack, put inside the pack or slung over your shoulder.

Thanks for sharing, great video!! I just bought a stainless m40 kit, with windscreen, stove and spirits bottle, off ebay for less than $200 after tax and shipping (fyi for those of you looking). Still expensive but there are some out there if you are patient. Not quite perfect condition like this one looks to be but still in great used shape.

The two steel rings in the handle of the lid is for sticking a wood pin in to use as a long handle to use the lid as a frying pan over a camp fire

Thank you for your question 👍🏻 no I didn’t use heat resistance paint 🙈😂 so took it off again 😂 I don’t know if it’s serves a purpose other than the camouflage aspect… originally they were painted. Thanks for watching 👍🏻 Best Lars

Why didn't you use the simmer ring to snuff out burner? You can move hook to center of bail after hooking the strap loop.

👍🏻. It’s my impression that Pathfinder make good products, I have a stainless steel water bottle and mug from them. So I don’t think it’s a bad choice to buy one from them 👍🏻. Thank you for your input and comment 👍🏻 best regards Lars
