Happy Monday, Diane! Way back in 1981 I made a day trip to Sweden, taking the ferry from Helsingor, and had a picnic in an astonishingly beautiful beech forest. We don't have beech trees where I live. The reality was so much more awe-inspiring than I had imagined from reading books... the light coming through the layers of tender green leaves... aaah! Loved your tour, thank you!

Couldn't figure out why you were posting on a Sunday? Then I realized it's actually Monday. 😅 3 Day Weekend here in the States. Just finished cleaning up the kitchen after The Big Grill . Celebrating clean space with a wee Whisky. 🥃 Weekly Upkeep tomorrow after I send guests home. 🧹

How kind of you Diane to share the inside of your Swedish cabin with us. It is lovely and cosy and I can imagine you and your family having lots of enjoyable times there.

I enjoyed seeing your summer house, Diane. It looks very comfortable and inviting.

I like to do a quick declutter when packing to go on vacation. I also do a deep cleaning so we come home to a clean house.

Thats very admirable. I never pack so well in advance that i could also do a deep clean. I dont know how people do this… hopefully one day i will be able to achieve this level of life management 😊

Thank you for the tour of your sweet little home! Im I'm so glad no one was hurt, and you sustained no damage to your cabin! Last summer our daughter's next-door neighbor's home was struck by lightning, and the subsequent fire caused considerable damage. My daughter and son-in-law were temporarily evacuated, and some of the siding on their home melted, but it could've been so much worse! Very grateful everyone is safe!

Glad all is ok w/cabin which btw is adorable…. I always envision cabins decorated w/furniture u no longer need and a step away from discarding 😂.

I always find it so interesting to hear how different cultures say certain words. Where I come from (the American Midwest) we say "rummy-cube" rather than "rummy-cube." Either way, it's also a vacation game for my family along with the game boggle.

Thanks for the tour of your summer house as you decluttered! I continue in the declutter mindset, and have two small boxes ready for the charity shop. Two pairs of shoes, a couple of shirts, and several home decor items. It's Memorial Day in my country, and I'm thinking of my platoon-mate, Herring, who died when we were on a field manuver in the spring of 1975.

I could happily live there.. forever..... cosy home by the sea.... gorgeous...

I am so happy that your beloved cabin is okay. I have houseguests coming this week and found myself to be a bit anxious this morning. I have been spending my mornings in the gardens, and the house was not up to snuff. I asked myself, "What would Diane do?" You guessed it...I set my trusty timer and got to work. My home was not so far off as I thought thanks to my routines. You really have inspired me to keep up with things and to use small segments of time wisely. Thank you so much!🦋

Thank you for showing us round your cabin - it is lovely. We visited Stockholm last June and loved it - we took the ferry around the archipelago and stopped off at Vaxholm and had a wander - there were lots of pretty homes there. We also visited Malmo for a day by train during our trip to Copenhagen in December - was very excited to go across “The Bridge” Today I’m decluttering our dvd drawer and I’m staring to listen to our CD collection again and declutter them .

Lovely cosy cabin... so glad it was safe from the neighbours fire. You kitchen isn't small. It's bigger than some kitchens in appartements I lived in!!! You are getting rid of Jurassic World!!.. so funny.. I could never get rid of my Jurrasic park/world films... but I am a geoscienist.

Lovely to see your Swedish cabin after hearing so much about it. I had to laugh when you said your bathroom and kitchen were very small, as most kitchens and bathrooms in the UK are pretty much the same size as yours 😂. I store my wine glasses one upside and one down side, makes a bit more room. Thank you again Diane for a lovely tour. 🎉🎉🎉

What a beautiful place you have in Sweden! Very cozy and bright! We have been declutterring to donate boxes to some friends who are in need of them. Our area was hit by 3 tornadoes early Sunday morning and some of our friends’ homes were heavily damaged. Thankfully our friends were not hurt. We pulled 12 boxes out of our closet (they’ve been in there since we moved here in 2022). We decluttered down and were able to empty 8 of the 12 boxes! It always feels so good to get the clutter out! Hope you have a happy week!

Hi Diane. Thanks for sharing your Swedish cabin - very cozy! Sorry for your neighbors’ loss. Glad there wasn’t more fire damage to the neighborhood. Say, I went to an awesome Simon Lynge concert held at my neighbors’ while he’s touring in the USA. He also played in nearby Chico and Paradise, California - and I think down in LA. He was accompanied by the amazing multi-instrumentalist, Richard Lobb. What a dynamic musical duo. Simon’s music is richly heart-warming and thought provoking. Absolutely beautiful. I’m pretty certain you must know of him as he is very well known in his homeland, Denmark. I hope his US Tour is fruitful. He deserves to be up in the charts and on everyone’s playlist. Are you a fan? 🎼🎶🎵🎸🎶
