@@Stamsite111 No, Prussia was far from the only kingdom to wear such uniforms or goose step. They were common to many militaries at one time & a few still exist. The one-time great Swedish Empire predates the rise of Brandenburg, later called Prussia. And later still known as the German Empire under William I.

Marsch 3 is also German/Swedish. It was written by Carl Braun.

I like the operatic march they play on repeat for all the time when leading away the horses...it is very much Händel without actually being Händel.

Very nice. Must be all the tourists came to watch in the rain.

The four gray sky horses that the trumpeters ride are of the Czech breed AltKladruber from the town of Kladruber in the Czech Republic. The ponies are of the British Shire breed and the other horses are Swedish warm blood.

Well, swedish royal life guard are much older than Kaiser Wilhelm and Otto von Bismarck. In fact it is the worlds oldest military regiment.

Probably a lack of conscripts. When i did this in 2005 there were 4 platoons and every one of them was arranged by height.

For everyone s safety they prioritize being able to control the horses before same height. And women are more frequently being skilled horseback riders than men and women are fewer as conscripts.

I would suggest them to take a look to The Chilean "Carabineros cambio de guardia"

Their military drill looks like a parody of old prussian drill! Their mounted band albeit very in tune, looks very rigid. All is at a walk. Not even a trot. The music has this prussian feel and yet it registers this teutonic bourgeois "hum-pa-pa". It feels they move at a walk so they don't risk falling off . Feels more like a 19th century bourgeois take of how a mounted military band should be like on a sunday.

In una cerimonia di cambio della guardia a palazzo per decenza sarebbe opportuna una maggiore uniformità delle altezze. Le uniformi sono belle ma questi buffi soldati sembrano pupazzi raccattati come capita . Se i vostri veri soldati somigliano a questi farete una brutta fine nella guerra mondiale che spero avvenga presto . Era meglio per voi se rimanevate neutrali .
