Thankfully for a misdiagnosis job before, you now got a correct one, saving working time and customer's money. Not so bad after all. As for the oil change, we need to see how it goes. I've never seen anything that bad, I bet the owner never changed the oil or completely forgot to do it. Lovely Lauren appearance for moral support and much needed coffee. Have yourself a fantastic day.
Ray, Every time I watch your videos I feel like I am along for the ride! With your expert diagnostics and friendly attitude. Fantastic personality and your patients . Not to mention your expert cinematic skill. (Not an easy feat while engaged with a situation that requires circus like agility !) Along with your beautiful wife and fantastic partner. I can only see a clear path to total success for you and your team! Cheers Ray! P.S. If I was in Florida you would be my care care expert for sure!

Belt drives in cassette players/record players/video recorders/cd drives/toys etc tend to turn to a similar mooshy tar over time and its horrible to clean up.
When you close your eyes, it makes it easier to focus on the eyes on the tips of your fingers. Edit: That oil...if they wait another 10K miles, they can just buy another car due to the cost of negligence.

You two are a great couple/team. Ray you are a great mechanic and I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. I like the way you communicate with Lauren.
I like how he worries about not leaving fingerprints after an extensive repair. My dealer returns my truck full of oil stains after a simple oil change, I have to make them clean it every time...

Keep up the great work. You have a good size fan base.
You didn’t lie, very good video!
Ray next time Move the seat back, let the column down to the floor and you will have easier access to that back Fastener, you might have to loosen the harness or remove the connectors as well. this might have been covered by the dealer as well up to 100K miles per recall or law suit. great video as usual!
I’ve done a bunch of these couplers. Much easier to just take the column out of the car. You and the wife unit are both awesome people. Your attitude is always positive. Not easy in this profession.
Good morning Ray 🌄 another gorgeous cold 🥶 day 😎👍👍

Another great video again Ray. Thanks.
Those oil change stickers usually state the mileage and date of the next recommended oil change. If that is so, it has been at least 13,000 miles and 3 years since the last oil change.
Incredible trouble shoot and fix. Love your videos. Thank you
Not only are you a talented technician but your marketing game is on point!
I was reading a Dennis the Menace comic yesterday. His mother comes into Dennis' room and asks, "why are all these clothes on the floor?". Dennis answers, "Gravity?". I immediately thought of you, Ray.

Great job as usual, really gives us an idea of how tough it can be to be an honest excellent mechanic, who cares about doing great work 🌟🙏
just think ray if the steering wheel did not need repaired. they would still be driving with that nasty oil till it probably blew up 😂 hope you have a good day Mr. ray and family. 👍👍and Dave almost forgot him lol
Might as well pull the valve cover to see how much sludge is built up. Clean that do the flush then pull the pan and clean out the pickup and pan. I’m surprised it’s not knocking already.
I remember that $250 mistake. At the time you had just replaced several driveshafts and U-joints and that little driveshaft in the steering column may have been too much to resist. It was really cute, I cannot deny. Anyway, back to the video. Uh-oh. That is a scary situation in the crankcase. That is going to need addressing before the window switch. How does a dipstick come to look like that? :( The crazy thing is the engine sounds like it's running ok.

In building the M270 MLRS, we had a “Lauren” that was used specifically to hook up certain cables that only she could reach and hook up. Gotta use your talent!
I've never seen a dipstick that crapped up. I've done 10K oil changes that still had nearly transparent oil. BG time. This was most likely a Theta 2 engine. Many didn't make 100K with regular maintanance, as evidenced by my stack of Hyundai/Kia engine pallets from a local dealership.

You need a under dash creeper... Save your back. Keep up the great content.
Back in the day you couldn't turn the wheels until the car was rolling. These days people spin the steering wheel while the car is stationary and expect the power steering to cope. this might explain some of the damage to the coupling spider.
I buy the steering flex couplers by the dozen. Ive replaced i dont even know how many of them at my shop. Really enjoy your content and im happy to see your shop and family doing good. My shop is in Saint Augustine. maybe one day ill get the opportunity to visit you.

I did the clutch master in my 93 MX5. That was pretty much lying upside down reaching my hands up above me. The best part was I could put the roof down and avoid getting footprints on the ceiling.
