My brother still has the blue dvd and cd SM's that I gived him with a nice pack of rare and weird games. DVD was f wasted. Used to clean it with paper towels bc I was a kid lol. pretty nostalgic thanks

This shit was my jam. I had that swap lid case for the PS2 Phat. Though I barely used it at the time. I was addicted to Final Fantasy XI back then. But eventually I started playing a lot of backups with it.

Making the PS2 region free with soft mod or swap magic was pretty ground breaking back then. Its 1 of the reasons why imported JPN exclusive games

I didn't use Swap Magic, but I did use the card to perform a disc swap to install FMCB on my PS2.

Also forgot to mention, this takes me back. I was desperate to get my hands on those because I didn't want to install a modchip at the time, but they were very hard to find.

the box of stuff is for the sensor blocking of the slim ps2s so you can turn it on with the tray open

i use to do it to mine for ps1 backups and custom guitar hero songs (u needed swap magic for ps2 games)

I’m fairly certain that those old V0 PS2 fats don’t need any sort of flip top or ejector tool. Sony hadn’t implemented the reset on eject in those early models (10k and 15k at least, not sure about 18k) So you should be able to just eject and swap discs like normal without messing up swap magic

i used to use HD loader with my tiny 20 GB HDD that came with FFXI, but then i developed my own method of installing independence through trail and error with said hd loader (forums everywhere i read back then said it was impossible but hd loader stops the disc from spinning) i took like 30 cd r coasters before i managed to get one to actually install, but a few disc in i was motivated because it was trying to install the install disc to hd loader. edit: HD loader was a swap magic like disc, the HD loader used as an elf file these days is based on it but you used to be able to just buy it like swap magic here for those curious.

i would need a fliptop for my nostalgia build too, that and megaman x4 to load the independence exploit with lmao. since the exploit doesn't come with a tool i used to make my own cd tray tool with junk speedway cards lol

shit you use the snes station lmfao. it was so bad snes emulation back in the day before we had the fast hacks from snes9x i think it was on the psp. snes emulation just got so good after that

oh i noticed it being trash back in the day. all the ps2 emulators did, there is IMBnes for ps1 that worked really well back in the day i used for nes emulation but even the nes emulator back then didn't live up.

I have the iso file of this. Lol Won't do me any good though. Lol

Obviously not without a chip, but makes it pretty pointless afterwards. The Swap Magic discs are specially pressed (presumably by Datel or some other 3rd-party), where they spliced the watermark and security sectors onto their own discs, thus making it bootable.
