The way I see it is like this. Some things in life require you to learn other things prior. You can't learn something without learning another thing. For example. If I wanted to learn how to drive. I have to first learn the road rules, how to shift gears, check my mirrors and blinds pots, how to use the steering wheel, how to accelerate, brake and use the clutch etc. On the path of knowledge. You have to learn the truth but you also have to live in it. But you can't do that if your mind is scattered with all other things otherwise you will be situated in knowledge only sometimes but other times you will be a couch potato etc. So I believe you have to learn meditation and master it. Then you need to learn how to purify your mind of attachments to things. Then you will need to learn how to develop a strong yearning for something. And all these requirements need to be learnt before you can learn the truth of non duality you won't grasp it fully. I mean it is possible to learn how to drive before doing all these things and you can learnt it all at once on the road. But it would be difficult for many people and people couldn't do it. Same as non duality I think.

For me the yearning was there to begin with ..To reach Advaita some readiness is absolutely necessary..what we call chitta shuddhi is a must. Which means practising goodness.. being kind, loving, compassionate, humble also sense control, and staying away from people who are toxic or worldly minded.. satsang is very important . Reading good books, prayer n listening to spiritual music. Then you ll develop a deep love and interest in Advaita.

Awesome! I practice Vipasana meditation for the last 12 yrs 2hrs/day 365 days. Sometimes, I very vividly remember my dreams. I dream as I was cited for speeding & I realize that it was a dream in the dream itself or after wake up. I experience the joy! Similarly, considering waking stage is also a long dream would bring in immense joy. I am going to try OM meditation. Hindu prince, Buddha was a exponent of Vedanta & practiced up to 8th Jhana. He did R& D in Vedas & Upanishads & derived simple meditation Vipasana for common people. Buddha was very much against creation of Buddhisam but few of his hypocrite disciples created it, broke it & destroyed its core teaching of nonviolence. Meditation helps to lead a pleasant life.

Normally meditators say your brain during meditation must never go blank. When I started meditating with YSS at Pune I used to go blank (with absolutely no thoughts for 1/2 hr or perhaps longer ). I wrote to them. They told me they will pray for me. Sometimes I used to sit in the wrong directions. They guided me. My kutasta (3rd eye) opened on its own. My brother's 3rd eye opened without Guru in this life. When your 3rd eye opens you close your eyes and look up inside closed eye. Initially you may see a dot of light like a star. Then you shall start seeing a small black and white video/cinema of past events or future events. The higher saint like Late Lahiri Mahasaya could see what would happen in the next 15 mins.

no ...its not different ....AA means SHIVA & HA: means Shakti .... So we can say AAham : means I : that is we , my self....which is having both the shakti & SHIVA.... Now it is not AUM ... so please dont mix it !!

@@chintanvyas881 You explanation is not clear Chintan. What Mudit is referring to is the letter A अ (Brahma) of AUM and comparing it to A अ (the mantra of Shiva). So I presume it's this comparison which is confusing. I guess it's according to Kashmir Shaivism. Please shed some light if you've any info. Thanks.

Beautiful, also in Christianity it is said : if Jesus is the king of the kingdom, Mary (divine mother) (the Theotokos, the queen) Holds the key of the kingdom. And the son-father never refuses her any request. Thus it is useful to go through divine mother. Yes, at the end of your speech, reminded me of Jesus also said : who reads the scriptures with his physical eyes, he will read the words that killeth, but who reads with his spiritual eye, the words bring life
