I've managed 4.7L/100km in my Vitara Sport 1.4 Boosterjet, AWD, Auto gearbox. This is possible as long as the right settings are used, right driving style and a few upgrades. I've managed it with the following: iridium tough spark plugs (better than Platinum), 38/41PSI tyre pressures (Eco Mode) or 36PSI all around (Comfort mode), tyres with fuel efficency rated B or A ideal or rated C ok, driving sensibly under normal driving conditions (not heavy traffic) for 30-45 minutes) with most of the driving around 50mph. No trashing the gas pedal. I can get 60.1mpg or 4.7L /100km.

Great info thanks for sharing. I have a 2017 diesel version, did dpf delete, I get 3.9L / 100kms on freeway/ long drives, and get about 6L/100kms city driving heavy traffic

Best test is fill up tank, drive it normally and fill up devided by the driven kilometres. This test is ok but only instant consumption.

good consumption for a petrol, but if there are lots of motorway miles to be done i personally would prefer a diesel - had like 4-5l/100km with PD 2.0TDI at 120km/h

I own the 1.4 140hp awd since 2019. During the first years the combined consumption was about 6.3lt/100km. It's been a year that the average consumption is sometimes more that 7.8lt/100km. I'm afraid that's not normal! Any ideas? I have not changed my driving habits (I drive very in a very conservative manner) and change oil every year, along with the filters. I have never changed sparkplugs though because the car has only 40.000km covered. I also still have the same factory tires. Could it be injectors issue? They told me at the service that the car is relatively new to have congested fuel injectors. And I always refuel from the same gas station RON 95 gazoline.

My average is 10 l in the city and 7 extra urban. It is very depending on the route traffic and driving style speed etc. I can make it burn 5 l extra urban and when i drive crazy i get 9 and even more. So it is different.

Да, напълно съм доволен вече 65 хил км. Няма дефекти не ме е оставяла :) Всичката газ и си свиркаш. 129-ката е по умряла във високите, но пък в ниските на старт е по-добра. 140 к.с за мен е по-добрия вариант. Има доста клипове в канала с нея, може да гледаш.

I'm riding an allgrip Auto 140ps 2019 45.000km that at 110km/h or lower on the road can't do 8L/100km (8.5L average), light foot, within limits. winter tires 215/55r17 consumption class C. Far from economical but it's a good car, excellent awd

That is really strange, 100-110 kmh on normal road my manual is 6.0-6.5 not more without accelerations of course. Maybe autobox is not so economical

AWD uses more gas (more friction on moving parts) plus automatic gearbox

@@petarstrukelj yes, but allgrip is on demand. It rides 4x2, but of course it still carries more weight and rolls more stuff. however, I judge by the number promised in this specific version that it is not even close to reality. This official measurement method is a joke
