I think it's a comfortable, great looking car. We had bought one this year and we traveled quite a lot with it. No issues, not bad fuel economy. The mil/check engine light is on, but as the previous owner told me, it doesn't influence the reliability.

I'm thinking of buying something simple to run and have 4wd. I'm not interested in gadgets. I had Jeep Wrangler unlimited diesel and Nissan Navara D40 which is just time bomb unreliable and expensive to repair.

Bought one brand new in 2007 when they first came out for grand total of $7,000 cash. I was looking at the Honda fit and the Yaris at the time but this had much more than the others for $12,000, namely, all-wheel-drive, disc brakes all around, much bigger battery, bigger, tires, a roof rack best $7,000 I ever spent still driving it today. No problems so far. I love to drive by all of the Tesla’s at the charging stations and wave to everybody on a long trip while vacationing with the extra $60,000, I have saved by not buying a Tesla .🙋♂️🔌🚙

It is a need to have car not a "i am so picky on cars". My wife have bought a second hand one and is using it almost exclusively in town. She loves it and i have to add that we by cars because we need them and they have to be useful not items of luxury and opulence.

I'm from Germany and have had the SUZUKI SX4 2.0 DDiS 4WD Style (built in 2011) for about 2 years. I previously had a Toyota Corolla Diesel for a long time and it took me about a year to get used to the SX4. Yes, it's loud, yes, it doesn't have a smooth clutch, yes, the interior isn't that comfortable and the front pillar is sometimes very distracting. And yes, it also rattles, which sounds like defective wheel bearings. But what I personally found most annoying was the remote control and all the things you have to pay attention to. The only advantage is that it's impossible to accidentally forget the electronic key in the car. What do I love and appreciate about the SX4? It is very lively and overtaking is a lot of fun. I always have the feeling that I could always get more power out of the machine (if I wanted to). I don't have the feeling at all that I'm driving a lame car, quite the opposite! the I-AWD is an extreme enrichment and helps in the snow but also on muddy paths and slippery roads if you have decent tires on it. apart from brake pads and an oil change, the oil seals of the rear differential have only been changed once - nothing else! and you won't find any noticeable rust either. I have continued issues with parts support on my Sx4. It isnt a bad car per say, but good luck getting it serviced if you need anything past an oil change.

@robertlynch8039 you need a suzuki specialist or if you wanna bite the cost bring it in to toyota. They bow own suzuki and can get the parts (probably more than what your cars worth) but these thing are reliable as hell

I own 2011 sx4 is already 125000 miles on the clock and it's nothing wrong with it. It's not comfortable or practical like many other cars but is extremely reliable.

I'm European. I have the 1.6 gas engine manual trans SX4. Great car! Never had any issues in 150k Kms. Not sure about the multijet engine itself tho.

@@matteofazio7845 Same here, Serbia. At the end I chose Suzuki Ignis 1.3. petrol. I had great offer for that car,.saved a lot of money, and I am really Happy with it. Great small car, smaller than SX4 but it's OK. Expirience: definitely Japanese petrol engine :D Nothing better. Consumption is strong 7 liter's per 100km, not great not terrible: D

Today I was on a mountain hike, and he got me on a very unapproachable road. 700km in the last two days. So he passes the exam :D
