Believe it or not, we've never had the Hyabusa on the show so we thought it time to rectify that. But the interesting thing about the 'Busa is not what it is, but what it could become. Mat explains.

For people weighing over 100 kg or people riding pillion often The suspension is way too soft. 3. There is no battle through corners! The Busa just glides. I think his opposite lean angle May have a lot to do with his struggle on turns. Haha 4. Gear shift between fifth and six can be and difficult. False neutrals occur on occasion. I think that this is only due to lack of use of six gear.

1) i agree - its definitely the case with pre- Brembo brakes. They are describing the latest modification with ABS Brembos. It should be better than before 2) Suspension can be adjusted, but for my average guy's 80 kg its perfect- tight , but comfortable. 3) it handles well on the road and in real life corners. Only the tightest corners on track could give it problems 4) i Have had 3 Hayabusas- 2 1st gen, and 1 2nd gen- none of them had any problems with gearchange. From my experience the only weak spot is wheel bearings

I prefer any sport bike before 08. That's when they starting adding stuff like power mode selection, traction control, this n that. Honda CBR 1000rr still doesn't have all that, I believe. The 600rr also I believe. Honda is still about rider control - the way it should be. All that stuff I believe adds weight to the bikes, power mode selection I still don't understand. If I buy a 1000cc bike...I want all 1000cc power, sure ... you could always keep it turned off, same like traction control...but that stuff just adds cost and weight to the bike. But...if I get a great deal on a newer bike, I'd never turn it down! ;)

We used to feel the same way, but the systems these days are so good that they don't stop you going quickly and can provide a useful safety net for the unexpected. Even the most experienced riders can benefit, especially on the road. At the track a couple of the latest superbikes have TC that is so effective you can actually use it to go quicker. You can effectively set something like a 1299 Panigale or R1 to let the back end step out a certain distance (spin up and slide) before it starts to rein everything in so you don't fall on your head. We crusty old farts sort of agree with you in principle, but in reality everybody will benefit from these systems, no matter how skilled they may be.

rolandsv8 Yes A few years ago now... I built a custom/Harley with Busa Front suspension and rear wheel assembly/brakes. After probably about 15,000 km the front will bearings collapsed! Luckily it was in traffic and I wasn't moving too quickly. I tried to forget about that now when I am riding my 2011 Busa at much higher speeds.
You guys should go back and revisit some older bikes like the GSX-R 1000 K5 :)

But...if I get a great deal on a newer bike, I'd never turn it down! ;)

***** Sounds plausible... I do love the BMWs though. If I had the cash to drop on a S1000RR, I wouldn't even blink on it. I'd probably get the 1200gs adventure first though.

***** Same can be said for the K1300s also. ( their Hayabusa killer )
It's 2019 and we haven't get new hayabusa yet

Cool people
Who ever said busa as ugly ??
Looks like one rider that prefers old man bikes had thumbs down yet he's probably the type that pushes his bike to the brink.
2020 still no NEW BUSa :(
He never answered if the Hayabusa was faster than the ZX1400?

If the HP is the same, the Busa is the most aerodynamically efficient bike there is. How many top speed records belong to the ZZR?..

unfortunately the ZX1400R is faster than the Busa, but marginally

A cbr 1000 is faster than both! Reason why is because I ride like a pussy! And I dont do 185 in flip flops down the public highways, So the top end doesn't matter
Today is May 8th 2019, & all the talk in the video was appsloutly Nonsense, Hayabusa is still the same, No changes 😂😂😂
k1300 gets no respect. I saw one at the dealer and never knew bmw had this. I only knew of the 1000RR. I love busa but its bad for tall riders, had to get a gsxr750
If you know how to ride you dont need traction control

The Bike Show I know the problem is that people will rely too heavily on it. Noobs will never learn to control their bike themselves

I hear you brother I remember the first time I slipped on gravel back in 1990 and it wasn't fun and luckily I was only doing about 10 miles an hour getting on the highway ramp and fortunately no trucks were coming

The worst thing about Kawasaki is and always will be that disgraceful green colour they always use,, they change it but it's just horrible
look no further than ghost riders "turbobusa"
Now it's all about the Ninja H2. Can it and will it?!!!
In 1969 the 500cc Kaw was king, in 1972 the 750cc H1 kaw was king, in 1975 the 900cc Z1Kaw was king, in 1983 the V65 Honda was king, in 1985 Yamaha V Max was king, Now we are at 200hp and 9 sec 1/4 mile,.. i do know when the ZX 14 kaw came out it did beat the bussa, they are both great bikes and more power than is useable.
Who cares about the speed record, on the major highways speed limits and police are there 2 slow you down.
Ideal beginner bike for 16 year olds, but please wear gloves and a helmet
carved out of soap? what did they make it in prison?? On a more serious not, how about you guys compare the Hyabusa and the ZX14R?
Also well known as the quintessential sport-bike for over-compensating poseurs.

The ugly bike that could!
I've looked at the Hayabusa from every angle and I just don't see what people see in these things. Ugly is not a strong enough word for how awful these things look. Whenever someone says they like these I think they're f'ing with me.
