Don't ever feel that you are totally alone or different in your feelings when at the old sacred places, Dickie. There are many of us that know exactly how your feelings and thoughts run at such times, so it's good and quite understandable that you speak about such things. 👍

Truly amazing video Dickie, better then anything on offer on the TV. ( I know that's not saying much these days ) I Found all of that Informative, soothing, compelling and wonderfully reflective. I am not a religious man but the spiritual feelings some places evoke can not be denied. Thank you for evoking them for us and giving me some destination places to aim for in the spring/ summer. (not least for those fantastic looking pubs too😉)

I think you’re right Dickie that there is some sort of universal force that the ancients new about and located there spiritual, healing and worshiping site where these forces were prominent. Even today these forces can be sensed and used by spiritual and reiki healers. Stones, trees and nature are really good at leaving you with a sense of wellbeing and recharged 👍

Thanks for taking us along Dickie, love watching the videos of the little villages and places you go ,all the history is very interesting. I know the feeling you get when you go to certain places and it seems for whatever reason there is a connection to that place, some are good feelings and some not so good. Cheers from Australia

Well Dickie - I too love the old churches and trees are so GOOD. It's a shame that the religeous leaders are not often as good as the folk who built their stone buildings and who tend the church yards.

I live on the edge of Sherwood Forest and there are some really old Oak trees there which are all catalogued. The oldest is believed to be around 1000 years old, but i didn't realise that Yews could live as long as they do. Great video and very interesting.

Here's an Idea, why not plan a motorcycle adventure which will link all the Important tree's, The Dicky Tree, The Tisbury Yew and the Mighty Fortingall Yew which some believe could as old as 5000 years! Very enjoyable, well done:) Sandy

Nice one, dicky. I thought that looked a bit like a Mill race, but if it is 4000 years old then I am totally wrong! Also I reckon that tree by The Long Barrow represents the living and The Barrow represents the Dead. They probably lie along the solstice sunrise and sunset lines from one another... Maybe?

Thanks for taking us along, Mr. Mint. It’s interesting that, in this instance at least, the stone was retained, if ‘hidden’. Was that because the newcomer religion/government didn’t want to rile the locals, or because they sensed/respected/feared the true powers that were already in that place? We can only wonder. Your round…

Nice video. Always liked churches , but only because I admire the engineers that built them , and lovely places for peace and quiet reflection. Religion though in my view is just a product of human weakness and a source of pure evil . Caused nothing but misery and suffering and still does. Lovely tree . Had a good look around the Fortingall Yew up near Killin , but theres not much left of it now unfortunately. Smashing place though.
