MYSELF WENT FROM A AR125 KAWASAKI, TO A GT550 KAWA, .AND WAS VERY SPECIAL, BUT 125 TO A 600 BANDIT, THAT WOULD BE AS GOOD AS A TS50 SUZUKI TO A GT750, I THINK?, BECAUSE MY GSF 650 BANDIT, NOT EVEN A BANDIT S, BETTER THAN A BANDIT S!!!, MAKES ME THINK MY GPZ750TURBO, WAS MAYBE AS GOOD AS A 400 SUPER DREAM,?, THE GPZ750TURBO WOULD WIPE THE FLOOR WITH 650 BANDIT, TOP END, AND THE TURBO REALLY WORKED, BUT ACCELERATION, BANDITS ARE THE BEST, VERY VERY SPECIAL BIKES.!!!!?? Have had loads of bikes over the years but just bought my first bargain bandit Mk1 1200. I have it sorned but cannot wait to get it on the road next year. I cannot believe how small it feels especially as my most recent ride was a Honda Pan & thinking back, I haven't had a naked bike since I was 16 (now 57), which was a Honda SS50😂always had big bikes since my early days but so weird without the plastics, felt like a motorised pushbike when I first test rode it!!....however, going to tweak it & work on my black beauty over the winter months & cant wait to open it up. Very short trips I have had, well impressed!!!

The bandit 1200 at 70 mph is only revving at 4000rpm with a good strong pull thereafter. It's only doing 5500rpm at a ton. It doesn't need a sixth gear in my opinion.

i had a fz6r that the stock gearing was reving 7000 at 70 mph in 6th. it was seriously buzzy but it got out of its own way pretty good. i think the point the guy was making is that that 1200 motor is so torquey down low that even 4grand at 70 feels excessive, that motor would have no problem pulling to pass someone if it was spinning 3 grand at 70.

i have a 1200 and it must have been great value back in the day. the stock shock is preload and rebound adjustable because it's developed from the 750 shock just shorter and without the reservoir, but I don't think the 600 got it. the 1200 also came with cartridge forks compared to the oraface damped bikes in the same budget, still only preload adjustment but the thought is there. the thing is a lot of this suspension adjustability doesn't come on even modern budget bikes today in the same class like the mt09. also the center stand is a gift from the gods.

well i like more my 96 S version bandit :D at 190 km per hour i go behind to the windshield and still fun to go :D

Ha that's the first thing I said about my 1200 needs a sixth gear.

I like the instant pull in 5th. From 50mph onwards its strong on mine. It's lazy enough on the motorway, doesn't need a 6th gear

In what alternate universe did they make root beer brown bandits? And don't tell me it's custom. Two people went to the same paint shop and got identical jobs around the same time? Why would they, their bandits were brand new at the time of this video. If anyone can identify the factory name or number of this paint color it will be much appreciated. Thanks!

The Bandit GSF1200SX (1999 model year) was available in brown.

Went from a 600 to a 1200 for more power and needs the suspension tweaking. Better and cheaper results would have been to lose weight imo

(needs a suspension adjustment) no you need a weight adjustment...

He clearly said the imported one with kms on board (the first one showed without pasanger handles) is from 1996 so how did you ended up with 1995,noob :) ?

Build quality is inferior to Honda counterparts. My 07 Bandit rusts in real time and requires constant attention. Good workhorse though.

This isn't a sport bike.,but a street one.The seat is different,the motor's response is different,the handlebar is different etc.

If you're being picky, I think you'll find it wasn't written, it would have most likely have been typed!

I like bandits great engine. Had a 600 as a first big bike but i hate this bullshit about bandit 12's surprising sports bikes ..yes its down to the pilot but if you put a bandit 1200 against a gsxr 1000 or fireblade or even a gsxr 600 for that matter the sports bike will annihilate a bandit apart from these claims these are a great great bike loads of poke great for wheelies but lads need to stop comparing these with sports bikes..i own a 96 blade and it would leave a bandit sitting

@@kwak1k yes i have ridden a sorted bandit 1200 your friend might not be as good as you on a bike and anyway when did i say anything about MT 10 i said fellas on about bandit 1200 keeping up with Gsxrs and sports bikes id die before id let a bandit 1200 pass me i have a k2 gsxr 1000 aswell and no bandit in ireland or england for that matter would have any chance.

nonsense bandit 1200 jetted and piped right gearing would smoke any 600 cc sportbike on the planet and can race against 1000 especially from a stoplight

@@MrMitokiller believe that so if you like. Ive a k2 1000 it would pull bandit in half. Bandit good for 155 ish. 1000 good for 300 kmh do the maths way more acceleration. A bandit 1200 wont leave any sport 600 for dead so keep dreaming and if u have one and like to try that then let me know in republic of ireland

ok u clown titty i have a k1 1000 a 1996 gsxr 1100 and a gsx 1100 f they all are very modified and very similar accelleration wise

It cld do with 6th gear no it cld dowith 6stone less ,lol
