Please compare Alonso and Stroll in Q1. It would be interesting to see where the massive difference comes from. It seems like there wasn't an issue with the car on Stroll's end, just a lacking pace. Maybe the difference was used tyres or track conditions, but nearly 8 tenths between teammates is crazy either way.

While there was a tailwind through the esses and Degner 2, there were headwinds in the crucial exits of the hairpin, spoon and Casio. Will the wind play a role in the race? It's predicted to be light and in the normal configuration. It's likely at two stopper, and being very difficult to pass on track being strategic with the timing of the stop can be decisive in both good or bad ways.

Last year cars went with a lower downforce setup, expecially Red Bull. T1 was slower because of this reason and T2 and T3 were massively quicker because of this reason and cars being generally faster. Perez last year was 0,5s off Verstappen in T1, this year was only few cents off. This is due to RB 20 having much better rear stability but also Red Bull going with a medium-high downforce setup. Verstappen best quality is being good in high speed with an unstable rear end. If you add downforce his strenght is less visible (similar to Leclerc).

So, if it weren't for the wind, Max could probably have lowered the time of 2023 by more than 1 second.
Last year's car had a better set up for Max even though it was slower (impressive that they gained 6 tenths in 6 months with worse track conditions) You can see in the final sector and also at the exit of spoon, that Max had tons of understeer today, which he hates and Chéco love. When the car will be a little bit more oversteer, like he prefer, he will destroy Chéco again, this is hardly encouraging for Pérez, just shows he's still slower even with a car that has the right set up for him.

Verstappen has an early turn in and likes a pointy car, every knowledgeable fans are aware of this, while Chéco prefer understeer as it helps him balancing the rear on the car. @@VColossalV Not yet, he's almost earned it. Checo's been good in Suzuka since 2011, now it's time to convert. He could have won it in 2012 easily, 12 years later it's his best chance since.

Kind of. If not for the rain and wind, the difference would be much more
Hey bro, can you record comparison of AMR23 last year at Suzuka here, and AMR24 ? Because that almost 2 SECONDS difference is....fucking huge haha, AMR23 - 1.30.4 time in Q2, AMR24 - 1.28.6 in Q3
your channel is much better than formula addict
Super Max did the best time in the train in 2023, and he did better his time from the next year! Max Max Max... super Max!
it'd be great if you can compare the times of other teams, or teams that actually became slower than their previous year quali on the same track
The speeds in most corners and the top speed on straights are significantly lower than last year, but the lap times are better this year. Is it correct to interpret this as meaning that the average speed before and after the measurement point is faster this year?
Consistency king 👑
This year's car despite the tail wind, doing well in slow corners in terms of higher apex speed and earlier acceleration....Monaco and Hungary should be great
You should also compare Sergio’s lap this year to his previous one he was absolutely on it for the first time in a while.

I did believe Max’s radio saying he could’ve done better in his lap in 2024 and I’m talking about his final sector. All quali he EXCELLED at getting a lot of lap time there, except for his final run in Q3. Still though. Still Suzuka is turning into one of Max’s best in the calendar.
what's the name of the music you use in yoru videos please ?
fun fact: It's literally the same lap, however with a different car, max brakes exactly at the same point on both laps and accelerates exactly at the same point on both laps
T5 in 2023 was incredible.
the straight line speeds for 2024 are so much slower everywhere, but faster lap time overall.

how does he get the telemetry?
Sebastian Vettel lap is insane
Considering he had some tenths left in 2024 lap, we can safely say RB20 is faster than RB19 by 1s aprox. Adrian Newey simply nailed those regulations. If, by any mistake, RB will let him go, they will stop winning. End of disscussion.
can you do a Max vs Checo lao analysis?
Last year cars went with a lower downforce setup, expecially Red Bull. T1 was slower because of this reason and T2 and T3 were massively quicker because of this reason and cars being generally faster. Perez last year was 0,5s off Verstappen in T1, this year was only few cents off. This is due to RB 20 having much better rear stability but also Red Bull going with a medium-high downforce setup. Verstappen best quality is being good in high speed with an unstable rear end. If you add downforce his strenght is less visible (similar to Leclerc).
Singapore is gonna be good

According to f1tempo, Perez managed 270 kph in degner 1. Do you have the telemetry data to confirm this?

Last year's car had a better set up for Max even though it was slower (impressive that they gained 6 tenths in 6 months with worse track conditions) You can see in the final sector and also at the exit of spoon, that Max had tons of understeer today, which he hates and Chéco love. When the car will be a little bit more oversteer, like he prefer, he will destroy Chéco again, this is hardly encouraging for Pérez, just shows he's still slower even with a car that has the right set up for him.

@@AgainstWokeness So, in your world, making an analysis is making excuses? I'm stating what i'm stating because i think it's fun to share hindsight and having technical discussions with other fans, it's also a way for myself to make a prediction, Verstappen is going to destroy Pérez once again this season (he's already doing it anyway) after he found the right set up, that's it. Verstappen has an early turn in and likes a pointy car, every knowledgeable fans are aware of this, while Chéco prefer understeer as it helps him balancing the rear on the car. Just shows you the difference between a good driver and a great driver.

To be honest with you this isn't a massive improvement like we saw with Merc when they brought W11 compared to W10 which was 1s faster so kind of a disappointment to be honest with you to see only 6 tenths improvement in winter and then two massive upgrades in one in Bahrain race 1 and than suzuka
