I'm more mechanic then nail professional, just enjoy watching nail tutorials at 1 am and wanted to say how awesome it is that you touched on the mechanics! You and camera man are correct! Torque is whats stopping the drill, its the measurement of force on the axel. Rpm is the speed and stands for revolutions per minute. So 30,000 RPM is just how many times it would completes a full spin in a minute at its highest setting. Torque and speed will give you a measurement for power and when you put them on a graph the relationship is curved much like the shape of a properly filed nail!

this video is invaluable!! i keep seeing those last 2 efiles all over ebay and aliexpress. it's so helpful to know that you should NEVER use those drills on natural nails, and that the handpiece's vibration and barrel size will make both you AND your client's hands sore!! i think i'll buy the efile with the digital screen, where you can PRECISELY select the speed. love you suzie!!
Suzie and Cameraman, we need a second edition of this video! 😋 Lots of new e-files on the market and I (we) need your opinion. 😉❤️

I love how informative this lady is. My daughter and i wish so much that she could do our nails. And she is an absolutely gorgeous lady. Thank you for your time and making this video.
I purchased the "Makartt Jd700" back in January 2018. I started doing my nails back in May of 2017, then my mum wanted me to start doing hers some months later. Every 3 weeks we have a nice visit @ my house do nails, have some tea & a chat. It's our little nail salon day. I'm not a pro, so I have no experience with a high-end drill. But I love this one. It helps speed up the removal process and do the cuticle work. I guess I have a light touch or extremely sensitive nail beds, because I've never been able to pressed down hard enough to slow the arbor band. I also don't go past the first 3 of notches for the sanding bands. I like the ceramic bits much more though for removing product. (I don't go higher than the 7th notch with those). From my own limited experience, I would recommend the Makartt Jd700.

Makarrt seems the most reliable based on lots of reviews and the handpiece looks slimmer, more comfortable than many found on other eFiles nail drills. It seems quite quiet too. I don’t like the colour but, functionality & comfort are more important. It’s a shame they don’t have storage holes and not all have a foot pedal.

Thanks for the review. I've had the Makkart for about a year and love it! I did buy ceramic tips separately.
A little electrical lesson. The motor is totally in the hand unit in these models. The base unit has a transformer that steps up or down the current to the hand unit, for speed, or reverses polarity, which makes the motor in the hand unit reverse direction. In the units I see at the salon, the motor is in the desk unit and the cord to the hand unit is actually a rotating cable (like the speedometer in your car). So the motor can be much bigger with more torque as you suggested, without weighing down your hand unit. From a female with electrical background from the US Air Force. :-)
Thank you Suzie I was going cross eyed trying to figure out what file to purchase. The Makartt JD700 is now on my Amazon wish list.

I just bought the new makartt one off amazon and it’s amazing. I’m quit sure that there are better brands out there but I only do my nails and occasionally my SIL’s so a $400+ dust system isn’t really all that practical. I’ve tried several of the cheaper ones...even had hubby make me a under desk mounted one by removing the motor and mounting it under my desk after cutting a hole. Great concept just crappy motors. The very last time a nailtech touched my hands was over 10 years ago. Up until that point I had a fill every 3 weeks and you wouldn't have caught me dead without nails. The nailtech drilled through my natural nail, down into the nail bed. I literally screamed. It was horrific and scary to say the least. Good grief. Sounds traumatizing. Sorry you experienced that. This is why I'm afraid to sit with a tech, you never truly know who is good and cares about nail health

Aurora Borealis218 ask for references! It sounds odd, but honestly ask! I'd have no problem sharing mine of someone asked.
Just bought the 1st one from Makartt today. I have the Belle drill and that's why I was looking for a different one. It's pretty but is way too fast when I'm trying to smooth the top of the nail. Works great for shaping and debulking acrylic though.

Nicole Nikki B i agree, i have one under a different name. i like it but i need to remove shine with a nail file rather than this drill
What a wonderful video for you to do for us!! Thank you so much!! You are amazing. ❤️
Ok, this is my favorite video ever oh my gravy! Honest review from an honest professional, I absolutely love it.
Suzie!! Can you do a 2023 update to this vid? Maybe review some popular brands at the moment like OULA and Kiara sky, etc
“This is just my opinion” Your opinion is the only one that matter tbh 💕
Show & Tell reviews are the Greatest!!
She's so funny. Love the way she tosses the boxes
+NailCareerEducation Suzie what are you're top 5 most needed bits anyway? It's funny that you did this video I was just looking at drill bits to get. I have a little drill already I hope all bits fit in all drills? I think mine is the standard size but idk.

Just curious, what will/did you do with these products?
Suzie: Well cameraman does not have a nail tech license, that I'm aware of Cameraman behind the scenes: 👀🐸☕️
Thanks so much for this! I have the first drill and LOVE it.
I love you. You answer every question I have as someone who is starting off
I have that last machine and it's garbage lol. I wish you had this review months ago! I may go buy the first one that you showed. It seems to be the best by far!

I had the first one, it doesn't last long. In my experience the MelodySusie one is the best. Mine doesn't wobble at all so maybe the one Suzie got was just a dud.

i have a melody susie i got mine for $17.99 on amazon works well, had it for almost 5 months now. it’s small, makes noise but not loud at all, easy to use and handle and portable. www.amazon.com/dp/B01H05EDK0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EWgaCbBWDCGGS

The makartt one supposedly has a lifetime warranty for repairs, did you contact them after yours broke ? @@ninileakz6577
MelodySusie makes great starter gel polishes. They apply nicely and the colors are nice. I have some of their sets from Amazon they're great for just doing my own basic gel nails.
I LOVE IT when you throw the packaging behind you!! I would do the SAME!! P.s thank you for being SO informative Suzie!! Your the BEST!! 👏🥰😘🙋🏼♀️💁🏼♀️👐🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽
Your videos are so informative! I love them so much thank you!!!
I have the 1st drill you reviewed, JSDA, Model JD 700. I use it, at home (I am not a tech), for removing gel top coat before soaking off gel color. It's great for what I use it for.
The first one is the same one I have.. it works amazing!!

Victoria Thomascik Heyy, sorry for the late comment but is it long lasting? I don’t have a lot of money to blow but I’d like a long lasting drill, they’re nearly $100 Canadian 😂 thanks😊

Has it lasted? Can you give us an update please 💕
Love how much information she gave us lots of detail and all questions I would have had were answered
I was watching this and I bought the last drill you tested, before I checked your channel. It is hard to use. I have bought a new one with built in fan and light at 30,000 RPM. I really appreciate your videos. I have learned a lot. Thanks Suzie.
Can you show the best way to build nail beds on flat nails for those of us doing our own nails?
I love how she throws all the packaging to the floor
Thank you so much this also helps you find a really good nail technician as well cos I've had my nails done all the time and I always got burning sensations so I always look now at the drilling tools that they use as well
*Definitely light weight. I have used this on a client and with my own acrylics. I have been using this for 2 months now and it’s still working! It comes with a basic set of diamond bits, a nail brush, a buffer, and 100/180 grit sanding band replacements. I haven’t had any trouble with it. I’m pleased that I’m able to adjust speed and I get the option of using a foot pedal that came with it. I’d say this is a perfect drill if your just starting or just wanting to do some home DIY nails.*
The Makartt drill works beautifully ,& today only is on sale at Amazon for $48.
