I saw her live about a year ago. Even in her early 60s, she still sounds amazing.

1997 - a quarter century ago....time really flies.

One of the best renditions of Queen & The Soldier I have ever heard. She mastered that guitar so that it sang the lilting bits and also hit the harder bits so perfectly. She sang every word like she meant it while maintaining immaculate guitar work. Spectacular. Not my favourite version of In Liverpool however. That song works so much better when it is pared back. Her alone with guitar & that voice, maybe some minimal strings. It is such a goosebump of a song but not the right one to turn into a jazz-rock jam. IMHO.

So talented... I was lucky to see her in Madrid, back in 2002... She smashed it... !!

She's got such a warm beautiful voice.. i could listen to her forever! unfo there was no internet in 1997, no KZread, no easy access to stuff like the awesome "Suzanne Vega - South Bank Show 01-11-1987" video ... now i understand .. :-)

What a treat, just found this footage. Always been a big SV fan - these songs are played well live -especially "Blood makes Noise" some crazy sounds on this track.

Probably the best album she ever did with really good musicians. I went to a concert on this tour in 1997 in the UK. I'll never forget it.

Thankyou for this! Casual Match especially sounds so good live, Suzanne Vega has been consistently brilliant from the start.

I was there and I can realy attest ! All incredible top musicians ! ( and it was a concert for free ) - One of the very best concert Suzanne Vega have ever gived, with around 50 000 people there
