    I was 17 years old when this aired. I watched Johnny Carson evey night before bed. Suzanne Pleshette was always a great guest. She was so beautiful and funny as well as a great actress.

    Amen......not under constant surveillance...great cartoons...cool bikes....no school uniforms.....great tv shows.....had to go to an arcade to play video games....coke tasted better.....rock concerts with real rock bands.....and on and on.

    Amazing how Carson show lasted for so long. It was a testament of how successful it was. I didn’t start to watch the show until the 1980s and I was hooked.

    My old man (i.e., father) remembered her (i.e., Suzanne Pleshette) from Syracuse University where she only attended for one semester. He graduated as a Civil Engineer may he RIP.

    My physical type has always been short haired brunettes. And I trace that back to watching the Bob Newhart Show when I was very young...like five. I remember thinking Suzanne Pleshette was the most beautiful woman in the world.

    The story goes that when William Dozier was casting for the Batman 60s TV show he wanted Suzanne Pleshette for the role of Catwoman. However, apparently her agent and Mr. Dozier couldn't agree on a contract so they cast Julie Newmar instead

    I remember her appearances on the Carson show in my youth when Johnny would light her up, but I have not seen any of them on KZread for some reason. She'd come on and take out her flat silver cigarette case, extract a cig from it with her gorgeous, long silvery nails, put it between her lips and get lit. What I would do to see her smoking appearances on his show here. Sexiest smoker/actress ever in my opinion. Her heavy smoking killed her, but I bet she enjoyed each and every pleasure stick she smoked.

    When the show was on in New York he was more open about it. During the 70s, sometimes you would see him take a quick drag when they broke for a commercial. I think he quit sometime in the early 80s.
