SUV Tent Walmart Camping
I picked up a tent that attaches to the back of an SUV to see if this would fly in a #Walmart parking lot. Many Walmart's have stopped allowing #camping, but there are still a few out there that let you camp for one night. I set up the tent on the edge of the parking lot and hunkered down for the night with my slow cooker meal.

My husband, an avid fan, passed away this past Sunday night. This is the first episode I've watched without him in a couple of years. I've got all my ducks in a row, the service isn't until next weekend, so I'm keeping my promise to him this weekend - I'm going camping! I'm going for five nights, actually, and I'm probably going to spend most of the time sitting by the campfire, moving the wood around with the poker that he made. Thank you, Steve for making the last few month of his life a little more bearable - he went back and rewatched every single camping trip, as well as the step 2 channel. I'm sorry he didn't get to see a new one before he passed, but I'm very glad to hear that you are feeling better now 😃

You have a lot of very interesting content on your channel, where you take chances for content. Walmart, though, is a delicate area. And this could affect a lot of folks. Pushing the boundaries at Walmart I feel was taking a big chance of further eroding the privilege of vehicle sleeping at Walmart, a practice that really helps people to be able to do. They allow parking and sleeping, not camping. You may not have been caught this time, but may have been noticed, which could increase the chance that the next sign they put up will say ‘No overnight parking’. All for the sake of creating KZread content.

Pro tip: Always carry paracord. If you're ever somewhere you can't get an anchor in the ground, or if there's really strong wind, tie a length of paracord to each corner of your tent about half way up. Tie the other end to a decent sized rock. I use this at the beach and on the river a lot due to high winds, but I usually bury the rock about 8-10" deep and stick another rock above it once I fill the hole in. Had a cheap chinese amazon tent survive all night in near hurricane force wind last summer because of this method.

@@co1950 crazy neighbor of course lol.
Steve is the only human who uses the phrase "weapon in my camping arsenal" without a lick of irony.
Steve is one of my favorite campers, esp with his neighbor with no name. Smart man. I learn a lot!
you've made me consider living like this for a few months I live in downtown Denver and the amount of my money I could save doing this would really let me start a real conformantable life. thanks Steve you're the man!

Hi neighbor, I’m south of you. In the Springs.
I could feel the panic when your back hatch was locked. I know the feeling of relief when you felt your keys in your pocket😂 food looked great 👍

I still get that moment every now and then even when, for example, I think I might be locked out of the house despite me being the only person there and the door not able to be locked without the key.
Another awesome video? God-bless you and your family and everybody who reads this.❤
Steve, I want you to know that you got me through the hardest parts of the lockdown madness and I always come back to watch your videos to remind myself the beauty in simplicity, it’s a crazy world and you always take us somewhere calm through your videos. Sending you my best wishes brother. Tc

Wow, thanks! Lockdown was definitely hard, so I’m glad that’s behind us. I appreciate the views and comments! Cheers :)
Not sure if anyone caught this four 9's fine, pure gold nugget, but... "now you're cooking with Steve." 😂😂😂
After an incredibly mentally and physically draining week, seeing a Steve video gives me the strength to keep on keeping on.😊 He is one of the most amazing people and gives me hope that I'll be okay, one day at a time.

Steve always makes enough food for at least 2 people. Love these videos.

He is so scared and so paranoid, he almost needs to seek treatment of some kind.
I'm jealous of how well Steve sleeps in these videos. I wish I had that ability to sleep so well. He is like OK time for sleep , see you in the morning.
the moon passing through the window was a great shot
YES!!! You don’t EVEN know how much of a welcome this video is and your vids in general. Supertyphoon Mawar just came through and most of us don’t have power or water, pretty much forced camping, lol but we’re making the best of it and your vids just make the temporary discomfort, bearable. 😊 thank you for keeping on! 🤙🏼

Howdy Steve, as a divorced Dad who gets the kiddos every weekend, your videos really help my get through the lonesome weekdays. We look forward to watching your videos together and the kids constantly point out “that’s probably a place Steve Wallis would stealth camp” when we are out and about. Thanks again for the smiles you bring!

Ooo, great idea! ❤
I know it's not intended for this, but this channel is nice just because it reminds you that the world's not such a big scary place. I seem to have encountered a lot of dodgy situations in my time and feel like if I were to do this that some strange goblin people would appear in the night and come to bother me. That doesn't even seem to cross Steve's mind which is nice, he's more concerned about getting moved along and whether his rice is cooked. It's a very wholesome channel just because of that. Plus an interesting social experiment of watching a guy doing abnormal things in such a normal way 😂. God bless you Steve
Steve you really need to publish a cookbook of all your recipes! Ive said that for over a year and am still waiting! Lol
Steve, if the aliens told me I had to show them one person to convince them not to blow up Earth, I'd choose you.
You just made my night better. Been laid up in bed for 5 days, recovering from hernia surgery. Hope all is well, greetings from Florida. 😊

We recently bought the Napier Backroadz and have used 3 times and so far it’s great. We drive a huge Toyota Sequoia and it’s an art reaching over the back hatch attaching the tent to car. Thanks for doing a car tent camp segment.

Love how you domesticated the tent! The side table with the slow cooker on it is the perfect touch!!! Comfy and comfortable!

Hello Steve, You’re excellent in making me feel I’m present. Example: Asking in the drive thru order Mc D’s coffee “Was I suppose to pay first or second window?” Another truly exceptional episode. ✌🏼
Steve is very level headed with his adventures yet unique.
