Susquehannock Trail System 85 Mile Thru-Hike: Day 2
On day 2, Dan and I push another 20+ mile day through some tougher terrain than we had on day 1. The weather for day 2 was very humid and all the vegetation was wet from periods of rain throughout the day so most of the day was spent with wet feet. Ole Bull State Park was the highlight of the day and was definitely a nice pit stop for a snack. We ended up staying the night at the Scoval Branch Shelter which was dry so we had to hike an extra 0.8 miles down and back to get water from a beaver pond.

lol. That log bridge was tricky. I’m surprised one of us didn’t end up swimming. I could have put on my rain pants. There was sooo much stinging nettle all through the trail. I’m just lazy. Really well done video. Your videography was amazing👍

Yeah it was definitely a wonder one of us didn't take a bath. Your approach to lean back was definitely the way to do it. The humidity and stinging nettle was in full force. Thanks Dan!

Do you mind telling me what type of pants you're wearing? I like a little looser fit pant but can't seem to find any anymore. Enjoy the videos too!
There is water at that shelter 😉 if you go behind fire ring down the little bank and keep going you will find it unfortunately one has to bushwhack to get to it …. Every time I’ve been there there has been water …

Dan went down and looked as he'd gotten water there before but he didn't find any. Oh well. An extra 0.8 wasn't too bad to get that Beaver water haha.
