they got bailed out after a few hours of being in jail. Their court date will be in 2026. In the meantime, they will continue stealing cars. In 2026, the judge will give them 20 hrs community service as punishment. This is all a joke. There is no repercussions for stealing and theft. This needs to change. Give them 5 years in jail and all of a sudden car theft will decrease 10 folds.

@@empireStyle What I don't understand is his most serious charges are 2 counts of stealing a car. They aren't stealing cars for at least 10 days that the cops have been watching them for personal purposes. They're part of an outfit with larger connections, able to move the cars overseas probably. Charge them with criminal conspiracy, charge them with organized crime, and we need to introduce a charge whereby you face an additional charge if you do not give up the name of criminal associates you were clearly caught in the act with. Forget giving him a sweetheart deal to get the others, make it so that they face additional time if they don't name names. This government will gladly overcharge political dissidents, hoping to scare them into pleading guilty, but then doesn't ever think of doing the same with actual street and organized criminals. Canada has been turning into an anarcho-tyranny where only the law-abiding get punished with the full extent of the law while the hardened criminals get treated like they're toddlers who didn't know any better or are just down on their luck.

I laughed at this. A relative of mine works in a Prison and he told me that he overheard 2 prisoners talking. One of the prisoner asked the other one what he is in for Here was his reply: I'm in for robbery, but when I get out, I am going to rob someone to pay for my lawyer I started laughing at this point There is no Justice in Canada. Every car owner should buy a simple 70.00 doller steering lock. It can help help deter thieves and takes an extra 20 mins longer if they try steel. (The lock that goes from steering wheel straight down to brake pedal)

Update!!! He was released 2 hrs later and is currently suing the Police Department

18 years old. Throwing their lives away. I was born in poverty back in the Philippines. At 18 years old, I was studying in university with almost nothing to eat for days but my siblings and I were focused and determined to have a degree and hopefully have a better life. I'm thankful for how our parents raised us well. Never in our entire lives did my siblings and I ever think of committing any crime just to have food on the table. We took on whatever jobs we could find. Now, I've been in Canada for almost 15 years and a Canadian now and busy with several jobs and still working hard as ever for the sake of my two children. I can't believe how some teenagers just try to throw their lives away. And then the problem is our justice system... I've seen how many criminals go to jail for only a few years and go back to society and commit more heinous crimes.

Certain segments of the population have kids without raising them properly. These kids grew up on the streets from an early age. If these kids do poorly in school, baby mama blames the teachers. If they commit crimes, blame the system failed them . In reality, they need to look in the mirror., there lies the problem.

Actually this was a pretty bad job on the part of the police. The getaway vehicle got away and the guy turned himself in later. They got one runner. No attempt to follow or block the getaway vehicle. Cops seemed like amateurs here.

In the UK the police give you a crime reference number for your insurance company and close the case immediately. They make no attempt to investigate or catch those responsible.

I am also a poor immigrant but I never steal a car or crime well Done police Good jop people should not buy that expensive cars

Police was prepared, had several vehicles and yet one criminal escaped that easily. Very unprofessional police work.

That was an incompetent takedown.

ouu these are the engineers and potential doctors that were sponsored to come here.. interesting. they'll go to jail for a short while and be let out again with an apology from the gov . That officer was a badass though glad he wasn't too seriously injured.
