This song is about the life of and tribute to the very talented Norwegian photographer, Lene Marie Fossen. The photos shown in this video were all taken by Lene. She suffered from anorexia and you can see Suzanne sitting at her hospital bed a short time before she died.

this song hits everyone like a cargo train. Let me go back To when I was young Here, I was born Here, I will die lonesome Let there be light Let there be love Hear the bells Ringin' our song Wake me, wake me, wake me up, my darling When the Lord has descended on us All the worries that you carried with you They are lost in a warm embrace Timelessness Far away From the land Where love is shame And shame is love of a prison Away from the dark Snow-covered hearts Softly, lay your hands on me Wake me, wake me, wake me up, my darling When the Lord has descended on us All the worries that you carried with you They are lost in a warm embrace Timelessness

Hey, you're amazing and so spontaneous, definitely not a poser!👍You perform the perfect reaction : the silent one. And talking about your sensibility you know, we know and sometimes hope, that music often can give us tears. It's a gift and we must not to be shy to receive it. I thank you so much for your reaction and i hug you! Ciao sweet girl 🌈🌈🌈...P.S.: i subscribed...

I have seen the video at least 10 times and I struggle with tears each time, so dont worry you are definitely not the only one! The first times I watched it I fulled on sobbed. I do know the backstory though and remember lene marie fossen from interviews back when she was alive. She was such a talented photographer. Anorexia is awful, was totally hoping she would make it out on the other side alive.

Thank you for reacting to Susanne, she's an amazing artist with a wide library, everything from piano ballads to electronic inspired music you can dance to. And all of it is very good:) I would recommend listening to f.ex. Silicone veil (live at skavlan), or delirious, or the brothel, or undercover (live). All of them are great :)

you made me cry. I got to know Lene from a shared joy of arts and documentation. I met a tiny lady who refused to grow up and "fatten herself" by the rules of us adults. She wanted to remain an innocent child. Sadly it caused her to develop an illness with food. And Susanne (whom I also have met, Norway is a tiny place) wrote this song for her, and it is absolutely soul-crushing. Can not write more - my sister is visiting and her 17-year relationship has ended with a couple of kids being caught in the middle, so I am way too emotional. Lene was a powerhouse. And Susanne could make a composition to respect the true-life horror movie we are watching as a society. This is happening every day.

This is what art is all about, creating a reaction with us. There's way too much music that is bland.
