The Young and the Restless' Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) and Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) chat with Michael Fairman for this exclusive conversation for the Michael Fairman Channel.
Walters, who recently returned to the role of the 'back-from-the-dead' Diane, discusses her return to the CBS daytime drama series, and the opportunity to work with her on-screen grown son, Kyle, played by Mealor. The two also detail what it was like taping their first key scenes together.
In addition, both Walters and Mealor talk fondly of working with Peter Bergman (Jack) and how he will be integral to their storyline. Will Kyle want his parents back together? Will Diane get her claws out and steal Jack away from Phyllis? Stay tuned.

Loved the scene when Jack told Kyle about his mom, Dina, leaving him, so he understands. Can’t wait for great scenes with Kyle and mom diane

No one but Michael could ever play Kyle like he has. He is the best. Just love him

I was so happy that it was Michael they brought back as Kyle because for the last year I had only been watching when he was on. I love the Diane and Kyle scenes plus also the Jack and Kyle scenes so I know that I will love the scenes with Diane and Harrison plus also the scenes once Summer returns to Genoa City.

This was so great! Michael Fairman your interviews are always so good. I'm really enjoying the dynamic between Susan & Michael on & off screen. So much fun. I love Susan's laugh too. My mom used watch when Diane was on & I remember a bit of it. There were some great lines from the Diane & Abbott scenes I tweeted out like "you look pretty good for a dead person." LOL
@Michael Fairman Channel - Wonderful interview with Susan Walters and Michael Mealor. Jack does have that in common as well with Kyle- their mothers both left them and the family. Diane wore a hat, similar to when Dina first came back as “Mrs. Mergeron”. They didn’t know that she was “Mrs .Mergeron”. - it was a business meeting, or so they thought - Traci wasn’t even there in that first scene. Also, “Alexis Carrington” from “Dynasty “ in court, also wore a wide brimmed hat

I did not realize Michal had been gone for a year. I had my say on Twitter in favor of Michael. I think hes a great actor! When they first brought him on, he could have well played a stinker but I am glad he seems to be good.😊

Yes., Linden Ashby, Susan’s real life husband once played “Cameron Kirshner”. They met on the set of “Loving “ - they were cousins.

Looking at them side by side, Kyle looks a bit more like the Diane character then he does the Jack character.
Diane actually last appeared in 2010. It's actually been 12 years.

Beginning not to like Kyle, how he gonna say something to Summer about Phillis when his own mom did the same to him only she left when he was young and stayed gone till he was grown up all quit watching if Diana don’t leave the show and Kyle might want to go with her
