They were at Epcot a few years ago with a young guy singing, who has a stunning voice, this song was belted out all over Epcot and everyone was singing along at the food and wine festival it was amazing

His voice is purely magical. Really makes me feel things. 😭 Jimi truly deserved to be in the hall of fame for his gorgeous vocals!! ❤️

Jimi had an exquisite voice, his survivor colleagues have said it in many interviews, even Jim Peterik said in an interview that when they were recording the song someone I don't remember who came out crying, and he said that is the effect that Jimi causes with his voice Jimi makes us feel every song he sings!❤

He's singing with all his being both spiritual ang physical. That made his voice so mighty and powerful. It is evident in all his body gestures.

This man was so talented & beautiful!❤ He performed the same at a concert as he would at a studio. Such passion. He will forever live on in his music! A true gem & icon.

The best thing about Survivor is that when they perform live, their songs sound the recording. Too many bands "modify" their live productions and they do not sound nearly as good as you are used to hearing them

Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow): "I had seen Jimi in Survivor and was very impressed. I remember going down to Tennessee to meet him and I really liked him as a person. He then came up to try out with Deep Purple. We did one song, I think it was 'Going Down' and he was so good I immediately stopped playing and just said, 'You're in!' He said, 'Don't you want to do more songs?' I said, 'No, you are so damn good, I know that you are perfect for the job.' We went out and celebrated at a restaurant. I was full of ideas due to his melodic, soulful voice, and he could improvise much better than a lot of singers I knew so he had every aspect I was looking for in a singer. Very, very nice guy. Very humble. Unfortunately, two weeks later, we were told he couldn't join the band. We never found out why. I think it had something to do with the management. I was surprised and saddened by what happened, and it was a mystery to me what had gone down. It was a bad moment for me. I rated him as one of the top singers in the country."

Thank you for sharing this. I love hearing this. Jimi has the best voice ever and it’s great to hear a legendary band respected this humble man which he never got from Frankie Sullivan of Survivor. Have you gotten a chance to see Firefest 2010 on KZread with Jimi members of H E A T and Tommy Denander the legend. They this was the best concert in FireFest history. Thanks again for showing him kindness and respect I am sure it meant everything to him

This man was such free spirt. A really nice man. In 1995, at 23, my friend and I went to see Survivor at the Hammond Fest in Indiana. We were first row so the show was awesome. Suddenly they broke out a couple of Doors tunes. Now Jimi kept passing the mic around to the crowd to sing during the whole show. As they start playing Roadhouse Blues, come second verse Jimi puts the mic right in front of me and je kept smiling and encouraging me. I have a baritone voice and sound like Morrison I started singing the 2nd verse and Jimi kept telling me to keep going, I got to sing the whole 2nd verse and the crowd was wild. I was high for a month!! God bless you and rest your soul Jimi going
