It's all based on the skin too. Noir or RE4 Leon's are usually good while base Leon's are an instant lobby dodge for me. They are the definition of the "What the fuck is going on" meme

Literally every Rebecca i've met was ALWAYS a girl that for some reason looks like Rebecca IRL and they're either absolute gods at the game with no exception if they have the cowgirl costume or they're absolute potatoes if they have prestige or default, they're also usually very chill and kind. That comes from my experience at least.

Thank you for being kind to us Leon mains! It always hurts my heart to hear that some people think Leon players are toxic (the false Leons...) I have had countless games where I'm the only one to die and people apologize in the egc, and I'm just like "no, I'm happy everyone else got out! It was an honor!" As a Jeff main i can agree i aint the best at the game compared to a 10k hour surv main but i play him just because i love his personality. I like to draw in my freetime and have a few beers and i really love animals just as much as Jeff. I really really love a character like this in the game. Also i am super altruistic, even if i am on death hook i will rescue my friends even if it means that i dont escape.

Cheryl main here, i would gladly sacrifice myself for teammates that deserve it

As a Cheryl Main, I agree. I help teammates to escape rather than my own. I play a little of Alessa and James every once in a while, but as a stereotype? Ehh… I’m more of a meme goofy trolling type but have fun with teammates whenever they need to perk up and win the game; if that makes sense

I do enjoy getting my teammates out of basement as well. I usually give up my own life when it’s end game saving another person.

Nemesis mains (mostly those I meet and myself) try to play fun and relatively fair, but often have to start playing nasty just to keep up with the lack of map pressure they have, thus creating the Mean Nemesis stereotype

I always got big brother vibes from Jonathan. He cares for his brother a lot. I felt like he filled the "babysitter" role better than Steve. Steve's just a big goofball. Also Jonathan gives off lone wolf vibes which arent always common for DbD survivors. But I'll admit half the reason he's my main is because his screams are amazing. #1 in game and I wont be convinced otherwise until a new better one comes out.

I think Steves are the most altruistic players, at least in my region. Bills and Leons on the other hand, are absolute babies who will crouchwalk towards you, hooked in the basement, in a distance of 500m. Pretty much the entire original 4 cast are either babies who live in lockers, or live in the killer's nightmares. Surprisingly I ran into a few baby Yun-Jins who likely bought the game solely for K-Pop, but I found some other extremely altruistic Yun-Jins (myself included) along the way. Hell, there was this one match where a Bill with no hooks left someone to die, and a Yun-Jin sacrificed herself to save them.

Some subgrouping for the Altruists: Leons will do something stupid and may or may not get away with it. They usually carry flashlights, Firecrackers or Styptics and try to use them in a ballsy way, to varying degrees of success. Bill and Sheva are more basic. They are reliable and well meaning, and will try their hardest even if it gets them killed. Cheryl is who Leon wants to be. She will do something insane, I‘m talking tanking a hit, unhooking with Resilience+Desperate and then hitting a frame perfect dead hard within the span of 2 seconds, and somehow get away with it most of the time. Sometimes they get their teammates killed for their own Insanity but when their setup works no one will ever forget that match

As a Jonathan player I can describe myself as the mediocre of the mediocre, I try to help a lot, even when it's not necessary, and I'm not good nor bad, I just tend to exist and do the objective at hand

In my experience, leon is usually a baby, and Zarina and Elodie are usually only toxic in the onesies and otherwise tend to be more heroic. At least, Elodie anyway, I'm too biased as a Zarina main lol

That Yun-Jin stereotype is off. Yun-Jin players are the ones who roleplay their survivor the most, and by that I mean they're very self oriented

Ash main here . Gotta be the badass and try to go for the awesome saves and distractions at the cost of not being able to escape. 😂

As a Mikaela main I think you got us completely wrong lmao, I find usually we fit into an aggressively altruistic play style, we will do anything to get that unhook or that heal lmao

As a meg main with north of 4K hours, I can confirm that I suck ass at everything. I exclusively play survivor and I'm sure I've caused more survivor deaths than most killer main

Jeff is one of my main mains and I honestly play him because although hes a easy target (his bigger size and loud injured noises) , I do love the challenge trying to do dbd on hard mode. With yui and Yun Jin, I usually play them as the chill play style because I love yui's story and biker style and I love alot of Yun jin's style (especially her newest tech cosmetic)

Na for me and my friends Bills are anomalies. See a bill afk with lethal pursuer and your about to turn a corner. Nope, he is gone without a scratch mark in sight. Plus Bills will just appear like out of nowhere when your chasing a different survivor.

You're almost completely right bout jill, but I do the "hero" stuff, too. I will charge into the basement! But, I try to be smart about it and don't jump in too quick while killer still there. Course if they're camping, that plan goes out the window and I'll probably be caught.

For me, this is extremely accurate to how I would play as these survivors and my progression with the game. I started as a baby Dwight, learning the game and often not getting good results. I switched to Felix and mostly worked on gens. Now, I usually stick with Claudette, Ash, or Haddie (and others for achievements) and make sure everyone is healed (Claudette), run no mither to mess with everyone, (Ash) and be the bane of all boon players (Haddie). So, the stereotypes that you given are very accurate under my book.

I personally find Jeff mains (myself included) to be in the altruism gang, when I do see the rare beast as killer they are always going for unhooks even at the cost of themselves

As a Claudette and Leon main, I can confirm that it's an all man out or a no man out, and the healthier my teammates are the better that the endgame is gonna be.

Jill main - Blast Mine will NEVER leave my build. Ever. There is nothing more satisfying, especially when you lead the killer to it, and they drop chase for the kick.

Nea main here, stealth is my way of playing. 😊I will help others. But I mostly creep around in the background and get shit done. Cleanse totems, repair gens and avoid the killer. I always bring a med kit because I won't rely on other survivors. I some how manage to always unhook myself despite having no perk for that. For my perks I run balanced landing, urban evasion, light footed and kindred so I know where the killer is. Absolutely makes me nuts when other survivors run for no reason because, SCRATCH MARKS! But once that gate is open or I've opened it, I'm gone. I'm not going back in to unhook someone or heal someone or even get healed myself, I'm just gone.

nailed tapp. hes my main. i just like running the killer and when they aren’t on me i just do gens and let everyone else save.

If I were to rank the 100 best survivors I've gone against 70 of them were Vittorios. PS: I main Jill, and your assessment is correct, I focus on generators above rescues, and only approach a hook when I notice nobody else is going, or if the killer comes straight to my gen (always running Kindred)

I have never seen a survivor more likely to sell your soul for half a cent than Ada. I can't think of a single time an Ada put any effort to help a teammate when she could leave them to guarantee her own safety, no matter how safe the play would have been if she participated. Based solely on how I play Sheva (since i don't see others an can only draw from myself), she is here for violence. the killer might get her, but only after several burnt retinas and concussions

I'm a mom quentin (previous claudette main who was a mom) main who will try to fistfight the bubba camping my teamate in the basement. I'm flattered by being called dangerous but in truth I have the average lifespan of a rebacca main. i am simply here to be support for the stronger teamates and risk my life for others (lore accurate quentin

I'd personally welcome the characters icon when mentioned because they were said too fast for my slow ass so I had to play some twice to catch them (hardest being Haddie). But that's just me. Overall I can pretty much agree with you. I fall into specific category - I play all because I can't just choose one (but I tend to lean to what they look like/cosmetics tbh). That being said from survivors I play most often Feng (my first ever survivor - biased), Vittorio (topless or techwear), Adam (deep rift clothes with the sunglasses for 1 shard), Yui (any), Yun-Jin (I love that racing related outfit). But as I said I like to make things interesting so I play the others now and than.

I kinda agree with 3 of my mains (David, Cheryl, Nancy). That's the beautiful thing about David, that duality, but with him I also like taking protection hits when I can (if that helps someone). Also, for some reason I get way more angry when playing Nancy, to the point of sometimes getting passive-agressive towards killers. Don't know why and don't know why it doesn't happen with other mains. And I disagree with Yun Jin, I stumbled upon too many Yun Jins that are perfectly in character lorewise - they tend to sacrifice other survivors to escape alone. Either through giving up on unhooking when 2 survivors are hanging and 3rd is in chase or by getting stuff like bond and running with killer to other survivors if they happen to chase her. And about killers, I'm making my predictions and I'm curious how many of them will turn out to be what you think.

I mostly stick to RE characters, can confirm that play style changes depending on survivor, as rebecca - team healer, as chris - looper, ada? Selfish immersion simulator, you get the idea

I'm a laurie strode main currently going for P100. I like to play different kinds of build each game but most of them either fall on healing or object builds, and yes, i get crushed in chases 70% of the time.

As a Leon main with horrible self preservation at times I lack a braincell but I know what I do best. Blast mine if I mess up a gen, sneaking around the map to hide from killer, and healing others. I am fairly decent with skill checks on most days when my ping is good and my adhd isn't bad. The moment you get me to loop I am down in seconds. Very rarely do I escape a loop alive. But I will still try, albeit very horribly. I often also run face first into the killer more often than not. Basically I'm dumb, loud when injured, and look good. I'm there to have a good time and just want all of you to make it out alive even if I don't. I'm very sorry if I mess anything up as I'm still new and the only reason I really bought Leon in the first place is I just wanna look like the man irl respectfully. P.S. First if I accidentally don't heal you just keep stalking me I will notice you at some point. If I body block you on accident I'm sorry it's most of the time not intentional at all. I love y'all I promise. Last but not least thinking about maining Steve because he's a seagull.

If you win one chase vs a killer you're either getting tunneled relentlessly or they don't fuck with you the rest of the game LOL at least in my experience. I am always the first one in chase even if I'm in a flock of other survivors though...

Man wth, I'm leon main and iridescent badge on altruism every match. How accurate was this though. It gave me goosebumps coz my loadout is filled with altruistic items and perks.

Nancy main... ngl most nancy's before Stranger things was added back are absolutely on that list. As for the newer nancy they can be either super demons or just toxics that aren't good. xD

I am a Rebecca Main. I am TRASH at looping, but there rounds where *everything* lines up just perfectly and I'm suddenly a god at end game while on death hook. I am a very team player type of person. I take body hits, heals and get the killer on me when I can. Even if it's a Basement Bubba, I try to help. I normally run COH (until the soon to be update), Prove thyself and then two perks to help me *do* these things. Like iron will (to sneak away when hurt and heal myself up or other) and either like anderline or hope or sometimes Empathy. Depends how much I feel like being left on hook on solo queue and not get annoyed. I'm still way because in my first month of playing DBD I was being chased by an ONI all around the map and this superhero of a Leon was CHASING the Oni, doing anything and everything in his power to keep me off hook. He did too, but it ended in him dying on hook because I couldn't get him off in end game (much to my efforts and shit teammates). I still think about that god of a man. I hope he's doing okay :)

I was playing her recently when I was working towards her p3, and idk if she’s quiet, good colors, or what, but every game that I would leave loop wide mid chase, the killer would always stay on the loop and wouldn’t notice me running in the open

As a rebecca main I think we belong in the your life is more valuable than mine, I die so often just trying to get my teammates out the gate
