Maria seems more concerned with somehow conserving her image and she just couldn't get over the fact that Charlie beat her.

As long as you have a good story and the jury likes how you'll spend the money then you're good! Don't worry about having a great overall game because these days that doesn't matter!! Charlie should have won!! Maria is a poor sport and I do like Kenzie but Charlie deserved it!!

He should have won! That was low of Maria, she didn’t stick to her word!

Maria is a villain to me. All that talk about playing so her kids could be proud of her…and she did that to Charlie! Calling him Uncle Charlie. She’s evil. She can come back for a future villains season and hang with Russell Hanz and Johnny FairPlay. I despise her for what she did.

@5:28 I recall in Hunter’s exit press he mentioned Maria is flip-floppy and sounds like that’s the truth about her. @7:44 glad there’s no bad blood from Charlie’s side.

What a beautiful interview. Jury can be wrong. They went by who could use the money more. But I hope it was a good learning experience for Charlie like it was for Adam and Spencer. Maria was just too weak for the game of Survivor. Charlie showed maturity even in his defeat. An ok winner and an even greater runners up! What more can you ask from a show!!! :)

Honestly, no vote is in the bag until the game is over. If your win comes down to a tie and then a tie-breaker, then you weren't a shoo-in (for whatever reason). A lot of great players don't get a winning vote or make it to the end, more or less becoming one of the winning three and taking home 100k. If this, forcing a tie and revote, is a friendship ender then yikes!

And as much as he's trying to portray himself as this guy who's above the situation, he's being a pretty sore loser. He's throwing so much backhanded shade towards Kenzie, it's kinda cringe. 😬Like "I don't want to take any credit away from her win, but she's pathetic and I'm the best player ever" lol Dude pull yourself together pls 😂

I really feel Charlie is a legend and hope that he returns for 50. In the new era, he is a player who deserves a second chance the most

Do we think Ben would have voted for Charlie? I think he still would have lost… love him though

Charlie did great and he showed both his strategic and social game. I think the problem with his game was it was so connected to Maria's game as well and it gave the impression that Maria is the mastermind and he was the sidekick. The same thing goes with Charlie and Ben. Them sitting together in the end didn't help him win. He needed Ben in the jury who is a guaranteed vote for him. He also would have been out Final 6, but Kenzie and Liz somehow destroyed Maria's almost perfect game and make Q not play his idol. Charlie almost blew that. That Q blindside was a very critical part of the game and it changed the outcome of the season.

That wasn't the problem. Charlie made it pretty clear in the interview that he was able to convey his strategic game, show the moves he made again Maria & Q and explain that we wasn't Maria's sidekick. Reading between the lines, Charlie is saying that Maria likely didn't want to give him the win because she thought she was the person to win and was robbed. In other interviews, it has also been implied that Maria may have been upset at Ponderosa after finding out from Tiffany that Charlie suggested using her idol to out Maria. Though he stated that he was just telling Tiffany that, but didn't explain that to Maria when it happened.

​​@@nullvoidzeroI had to rewatch the finale episode with the jury and Charlie was a mess in some of the questions . His biggest move was the Hunter vote but Hunter claimed that Kenzie was the reason why he didn't play his idol. So that idol blindside was Kenzie's move not Charlie. Second, with Q's question, Charlie thought he was the one brought in to the 6 by Q and Maria corrected him saying she was already part of the 6 and it was the other way around since Tim got voted out. Soda's take on Charlie was he was "playing middle so closely with Maria, but he did not set himself apart from her" and his response was great explaining how he prepared to counter Maria's plan. With Q's question, Charlie said family is #1 and the million is life-changing, but then he also mentioned about a lot of orgs that he would like to make a donation to and then he wants to use the money for law school. I think Kenzie provided a more genuine answer.

So Maria might have felt annoyed with Charlie when he tried to contradict her with how he was brought to the 6-person alliance. He thought it was because of his "recommendation" that Maria became a part of the 6. I also feel like it's a missed opportunity for Charlie to highlight how important Maria was in his game and he should have used that to play with her ego and say wonderful praises just to create an emotional connection with her. He was kinda confident that she would vote for him but she didn't. I think Charlie tried to get Tevin's vote by praising him but it didn't work as well.

Maria is low… the whole game she criticized people for not playing the game and having no strategy… and at the end she voted for Kenzi because she wanted to start a family!!! She was salty that #1. Charlie didn’t take her on the reward and #2. Charlie was still in the game and she wasn’t.

This was tough to watch. I was invested in Charlie since episode 1. He played the superior game. Most well rounded player. I like Kenzie. She played well for sure, but Charlie did better. It’s so mind boggling to me that he didn’t win. I thought for sure that if he survived F5 then he was gonna win it all. I haven’t seen a more devastating loss in such a long while. It’s sad but I don’t blame Charlie for feeling the way he does with Maria. I don’t think I could be friends with her after that

It's a good thing I follow spoilers. Otherwise, I'd be really disappointed. So I saw this coming. Nothing against Kenzie but Charlie is just too good to not be this season's winner. Charlie should have won.
