And now sadly, RIP Sonja Christopher (1/28/1937 - 4/26/2024) - the first to be voted out of Survivor (the first vote ever in Survivor was cast for her by Sue Hawk who spelled her name "Souna"; Sonja cast her sole vote for Rudy). At age 63 when she competed she tied with Gillian Larson of Gabon as the oldest woman to date to compete; Rudy at age 72 was the oldest man to compete on Borneo and broke his own record at 75 by competing on All-Stars.

At-home shots unfortunately have never been included in an intro, but for the first few seasons (I believe 1-6) they showed a shot of each cast member at home/in their workplace as a sort of 'character introduction' in the first episode.
