I really enjoy traveling with you two. The smiles, laughter and silliness is lovingly infectious. I moved to Thailand 3 months ago, and now I'm planning a week's trip to both Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh. - Khab Khun 🙏

Love the streetscapes in Hanoi. It's dense but not too much concrete. Motobike looks like a good time. You two are a good team. 😉

I guess eating snails 🐌 is that French influence 😮 No way am I eating escargot, it’s the only food I’m allergic to 😢 Nice video Alex and Palm, all the other dishes looked delicious 😋

It actually has nothing to do with the French. Vietnamese people (and other Southeast Asian countries) have been eating snails for thousands of years. Not to mention, the types of snails eaten in Vietnam are freshwater and sea snails rather than escargot; completely different and cooked in a way that is better imo. Coconut snails would be good for starters.

Hanoi beef is less sweet and has a more beefy flavor opposed to Saigon sweeter pho which is different to more expat community influence the flavor over the years..

@@Livingabroadalex I love bahn mi and you should do a video on the best Bahn mi in Hanoi. The have some baguettes that are thin and skinny opposed the usual French baguettes style…. You need to look for those long slim baguettes…. It’s not as filling, but very tasty.

@@Livingabroadalex time to drink bubble tea! The place where it originated from! I tell ya flavors you need to try… taro, which is a purple type yam which is slightly sweet and starchy. Honeydew is always great, and coconut milk bubble teas are good.
