Surviving to Thriving: First 20 Primitive Months
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
From cave to house. Nature provides all the materials we need to live. We just need to learn how. Long ago our ancestors knew the primitive skills and technologies for survival in the wilderness. In the Primal Tendencies series I show my journey exploring this land and learning what to eat and how to build a functional adobe hut to go from surviving to thriving in the wild during a period of 20 months.
I will continue to develop this place into a little village so please subscribe and stay tuned for more. Thank you for watching!

It's interesting to see all the steps to your journey in a row. We get to see your present achievements as the culmination of many days of hard, slow, painstaking work. Your patience, perseverance, and dedication are something remarkable. Thanks for sharing, as always. P.S. I'm curious. How do you look after your teeth? do you bring a toothbrush with you or something? Have you dealt with any other general health struggles as a result of your lifestyle?
@ChadZuberAdventures
Жыл бұрын
The only health struggles I've had to deal with during my time out in the wild is physical exhaustion and weight loss. If I don't eat and sleep enough I get weak. Other than that, a primal diet doesn't require brushing of teeth. The end of a stick can be used. Yucca fibers and strands of my hair work well for flossing. The only other struggle has been dry cracked feet and fingers during the dry seasons. This is preventable by daily washing and soaking in a medicinal tea water. I just didn't take the time to do it because my days were always so busy filming and making stuff.

Calluses that crack seem painful! rritant contact dermatitis/ eczema orthoergicum can actually occur by washing with soap too often. It actually destroys the skin. Only use soap when really needed. This is such an awesome video, never knew those strands of grass could be used as soap. The primitive shaving was inspiring too.
@ChadZuberAdventures

Yeah I can’t over emphasize the value of soaking the hands and feet in an oily tea. Crushed juniper stems quien quite well. It really helps prevent cracking when done at least once a day especially at night before resting.
Have been following your journey on and off for a while now, the beginning of this brought tears up as it brought back how excited and inspired I was when you started. Although I cannot follow you into the wild, you've really taught me that I can exceed my own expectations.
