Surviving the Worst Blizzard of my Life. Extreme Snow Storm Winter Van Life Camping, Hurricane Winds
Riding out an epic 73 mph beast of a «tornado» blizzard in my cozy van, 4 days stranded on an island of deep snow covered roads. Surviving the most Severe Blizzard of my Life. Winter Van Life Camping in Extreme Snow Storm & Hurricane. This was the worst blizzard I ever experienced in the van, the winds where up to hurricane force, and even though I was hunkered down and camped in between buildings, it was nearly tearing my van to shreds. Felt like a volcano eruption in Iceland. I got a lot of trouble with snow leaking into the seams and joints of the van, the exhaust for the heater getting clogged up. A lot to handle and crazy extreme blizzard, snow storm and hurricane conditions. It was awesome to film!
I make coffee, talk about my heating system and cook egg and avocado burritos, and I wait for the plow truck to hopefully arrive so I can get out of there.
Part of the series:
Surviving my First Arctic Winter of Extreme Van Life. Solo in Hurricanes, Blizzards, Snow Storms & Camping in Extreme Cold Freezing Temperatures.

My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Hakkapalitta studless Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in America - USA and Canada.

That was one nasty wind you went through Jarl. I've heard of guys dumping a pot of hot water on those propane heater exhausts to get them cleared. Not sure if that would work with the Truma. It's times like that when you find out what works and what doesn't under severe conditions. I'm glad I watched this, I was considering the Truma for my build. I think I'll go with Webasto. How far up North were you?
@NorwegianXplorer
2 ай бұрын
The Truma is excellent, as long as you run it it will not clog up, I have used it every day for 4 months through the winter without any faults, and I was able to clear the clogging with a little screwdriver.

@@Roadghost88 Truma is the company that has set the "standards" for all other wanna be copycats. I believe Webasto requires Diesel whereas the Truma requires Electricity & or Propane.

I lived for 50 years in Michigan and for the past few years, I’ve been living in Tennessee. This might sound strange to people around here, but I miss the snow. I miss the snowstorms. There isn’t a better feeling in the world, to have the snow coming down, the wind whipping around, and being warm inside with a fire.

Wow, your winter van life adventures are absolutely captivating! Surviving blizzards, snow storms, and freezing temperatures while camping in your Fiat Ducato van is both thrilling and inspiring. The cozy feeling of the blizzards and snow storms you captured in HDR truly transports viewers into the heart of the Arctic wilderness. I love hunkering down in inclement weather when you're prepared for it. Having the necessary tools, supplies, and shelter mean everything. You're only missing a dog for security and companionship.

Hello from Canada. That's a nasty snow storm. Here I have seen winds of almost 140kmh which I believe is over 38m/s. That much wind is not normal here but I've seen it quite a few times. I drove a snow plow for many years and it's nice now to be able to enjoy winter a bit more.
