Baby sea turtles are met with a dangerous challenge straight out of the egg. What are your thoughts on the difficult journey they have to make to the water?

It is one of the most impressive effort a animal can do at such a young age and under so much threats. I volunteered once in Greece protecting sea turtles and helping (as much as we could) hatchlings to reach the sea was so fulfilling. Good video btw

@Hans Coventrierengemacht I know you feel bad for those turtles. However, look at the other side of the spectrum, if you save the turtles, what will happen to the birds? They'll be starving, and if they have their young ones, those will be starving to death too. That's why there is the unwritten rule that said you should never interrupt with nature, let it be.

Turtles deposing eggs are not frequent, but the birds live all year long. So no, the baby turtles are not their only source of nourishment. Besides, most turtles are endangered species, so unles you tell me those birds are as well, I would definitely be partial to favour the tiny crawlies.

The one upside down, flapping to try to turn herself over got me :c the cycle of life can be cruel.. buf nature takes as it gives
This makes me want to just guard turtle spawn grounds and put the hatchlings straight into the sea.
The same applies to humans. Some succeed in life (make it to the water) and some don't (get eaten). It isn't fair or unfair. That's just the design of things. What matters is that the species as a whole survives. Everybody deserves a prize for participating
