Tell me about it! Have you had a travel nightmare?

Similar story happened to me in Copenhagen in 1966 when I was 24. I intended to wash dishes in a restaurant, but the queue was long with other pennyless guys, that I gave that idea up. My Danish girlfriend arrived the day or so afterwards , and some cash arrived from Daddy through the American Express office. We did not have cell phones or credit cards , and in those days American Express Offices had telegramme facilities. Many travellers used these when they found themselves in difficulties. In a short time, I had both my girlfriend and cash. This was scary for me and I was hungry for a very short time period. I cannot help think how lucky and privileged I was then. To think of the millions of people on our planet that are starving today, without Daddy and ways of getting food and shelter. If anything, that small blip in my life was nothing. We should really be thankful for what we have.

Rubbish...what are you trying to prove? Almost everyone feels sorry for a “sad” face asking for food. Be more inventive..., there are some guys who do the same thing as you but with more content. You probably already know them.
