These videos are so addictive, and I think I understand why; Because it shows what we, as people, are meant to naturally do. The desire to watch, and then rewatch them stems from this. Awesome job as always, Matt.Keep it up!

"... meant to naturally do" i find that comment funny.. bringing a car full with non natural stuff into nature. Dont get me wrong i like his videos but this comment is silly.
@brentcanfield8883

@@owi2k7 no, it's not silly;you're just not comprehending what I said accurately.Your reply is silly. The point is, he sets a great example to people in general. He's saying get OUT there and actually experience life.Don't just stay inside the house all the time and let your life rot away-Which is obviously what I was referencing when I said his videos show what we're "meant to naturally do." "Bringing a car with non natural stuff" is irrelevant; the point is to get OUT there and just experience nature any way you can. I mean, what would you rather him do-Only use sticks and parts of vines to make fishing gear as well, so he doesn't bring "non natural stuff" when he does these videos? C'mon son.

@@brentcanfield8883 I just made a comment on you previous one - now the percpective of you is a bit clearer. Yes if he use stuff within nature only that would be survival for me - what he does is more camping. Both is fine with me.
Matt, you had a moment of brilliance in your last video with the drone shots and we would love to see more. The amount of work and time involved when editing these videos is much appreciated. As in the catch, clean and cook genre you are world class. I just wish we could hear some more from Mak10. We know she is busy with running the commercial side but we miss here. She could get involved in the comments section?

Here's another voat for more drone work. The drone does a better job of showing fish in the water than the gopro on his chest. It was a real treat to see the top down while the sharks were darting in.

He caught a flat head, sail cat or saltwater catfish....they are no good to eat. If it was a channel cat, blue cat or butter cat absolutely...skin and fillet that sucker out....but living close to the Gulf...saltwater cats are right up there with mudfish.....pure trash. Absolutely love your consideration for conservation. Keep up the great adventures.

Great video! Glad you got your knife back, and to the good Samaritan: glad there's good people like you around! For the catfish, as a man who grew up in Texas where we fry those up regularly, I'm surprised you threw it back! For the US south that's a favorite. But you really have to know how to prepare it well and be from good water sources for it to taste good.

There's a neat little trick with garlic you can do. Finely chop it, get it in a pile and add salt to the pile. Then take the flat of your knife to the pile crush it down slightly and drag the knife across the chopping board, do this a few times and you'll have a nice paste. Works a treat.

Hey man we get them in South Africa Saltwater Catfish are trash fish, they aren't bad tasting but more of a pest to us fishermen. We also get a lot better fish in the ocean so we don't usually keep them, I've heard they are good fried but to each their own.

Just out of curiosity, is the catfish over there different than in the United States? We eat catfish and I wonder if it’s something to do with the different kinds of catfish or if you don’t want to even hassle with trying to cook them cause I know they can be annoying to try to eat.
