Survival : Highgrove Natures Kingdom
Ойын-сауық
The first in-depth examination of Prince Charles work on his estate at Highgrove in Gloucestershire and his organic gardening methods. He has taken Highgrove back to its condition before chemistry intruded into agriculture. A badger sett thrives fox cubs breed within sight of the house barn owls nest in the stables.

I’m so impressed. Prince Charles is such a gift to our world. I wish that we all follow his leadership. I wish the other documentary could also be available: The Farmer and the Prince.

God bless prince Charles for his initiative and vision.
C'est vraiment un lieu magnifique et harmonieux.Chaque chose est à sa place et tout cette écosystème est préservé de telle sorte qu'il y a une biodiversité incroyable 😊.🌻💚💚💚
It’s truly wonderful that HRH Prince Charles has this reverence for nature.
Beautiful! I wish many more farmers would follow. Thank you for this great documentary!
What a wonderful documentary!
Soooo beautiful. Have enjoyed this very much. I would so love to see his in person. Amazing. To be able to just take your time and breathe it in.
Whatever Charles faults (and his perceived or real mistreatment of Diana), in my eyes he can't be half bad. In my experience, his profound love and appreciation of gardening, animals, and nature are highly redeeming qualities.
Outstanding! HighGrove is absolutely beautiful! A true Haven for all things in Nature! The Gardens & the entire concept is very interesting, truly fascinating, as well as, totally brilliant! King Charles really knows his stuff! Along with the very intelligent folks HM has working with him. Both their's & the King's knowledge & understanding of the Wildlife & their habitats, along with their expertise & knowledge of the Land & Gardens, is, again, truly brilliant! Thank you for sharing this delightful, fascinating & thoroughly enjoyable experience! Blessings to you!
this is GODS work.....so beautiful
He is a better man than he's often given credit for... Gawd save King Charles 111
If Prince Charles can lead by example the United Kingdom will hopefully remain vibrant and alive and retain its beauty. His love of nature is very evident. A wonderful documentary. Thanks.
Thank you for this 1993 gem! :)
he brought to light issues many years ago the importance of which the whole world is waking up to now. impressed.
Well done 👍 Prince Charles, You’re awesome 👏🏽
I remember how mercilessly Charles was teased in the press in the 1980’s as a loon. My goodness, how ahead of his time he was on conservation and the environment.

Because he was as mad as a box of frog's, private helicopter flights or driving around in a rolls Royce or Aston Martin. He may just as well have stood in front of a huge pile of burning tyres telling people to take care of the environment. Today he still has the biggest carbon footprint of anyone in the UK. His father was a big game hunter, his sons shot rare birds, his mother and brother were keen fox hunters. They're probably more responsible for the killing of wildlife than any other person, it wasn't done to eat, it's done purely for fun, a sport they call it. I fail to see how they can be considered environmentally friendly, when all evidence suggests otherwise. All those huge castles and palaces kept heated whilst empty, the list of the damage they do to the environment is endless
I really admire Prince Charles' views on the natural world and his perspective....

@@chrisoconnor5880 how about the way his son treats his Father! As far as Diana goes (and I'm her distant relative as a Stewart and Spencer), she came to the marriage emotionally damaged by her parents marriage. Sadly, the then Prince Charles didn't have the tools to handle her emotions. Prince Harry requires mercy due to a damaged childhood, but as an adult he is responsible for HIS CHOICE To leave the Royal Family.

Great documentary, like an episode of Springwatch. There's a lot of variety there, seems like a great project. Foxhunting though is just a blood sport.
I am getting the impression more and more that all Charles ever really wanted was peace and quiet.
Beautiful documentary...thank you for sharing
What a visually magnificent and informative video! Thanks!
AngelDocs, Firstly, thank you for this brilliant documentary, indeed!! I am rather quite surprised that I've never seen this before!! I have almost every single documentary on Charles and my DEAREST DARLING DIANA ever made. I actually seriously studied the Princess of Wales for all the years she was in public life!! It is quite true the initiatives that HRH The Prince of Wales really go rather UNnoticed so often... Yes, they are expensive! But, it's all for Mother Earth at every turn! Cheers
Beautiful documentary !!! Great journey with good company. What a peaceful place!!!
On ressent vraiment que c'est un endroit chargé de l'histoire familiale avec cette tradition aristocratique très ancré dans le terroir et le domaine avec ce lien à la nature et à,la terre dans une certaine simplicité naturelle.💛💚
This is so beautiful!

Glad I watched the video

Prince Charles is awesome.
Kekawaka, As you might, by now, have realized this video is from wayyyy back in the late 80's no less... so the resolution is of what WAS considered good resolution. That said; one can (if you can get a hold of the VHS) copy it onto a dvd yourself. The systems actually improve the quality in the transfer onto the dvd automatically! Rather charming asset to experience!!
Excellent!

Charles is a man who loved nature , growing things and working in the soil, quiet time to reflect and be one with all nature offered. He was way ahead of the times in his thinking on organic farming. Very intelligent, quite caring man. Diana was a city girl, she liked the things the city offered. She was a girly girl who didn't like to get dirty. What a shame she didn't share any of Charles passion for the outdoors and growing things. They truly had so little in common. They may have been better friends than lovers. It's a shame his position more or less forced him into a marriage that wasn't a fit for either.
Splendid!
Such a wonderful garden. One can discover the pleasure and beauty given by nature at nearly every place on earth dispite those which are contaminated by atom bombs.

36:54 'Paddy Whiteland, who's worked at Highgrove for 50 years, emerges to investigate the noise. Paddy not only oversees the stables, but just about everything else here as well. It's important, with so many foxes about, to keep the chickens locked up at night. They instinctively roost well off the ground, a throwback to the days when they roamed the forests of Asia, before they were domesticated by man.' Ah, so, the way to prevent foxes from eating one's chickens is to lock them up at night! Who'd have thought it
There's also a bird called a wall creeper too but very scarce, they can be found in France,Switzerland, doubt you'd see one here in UK.tree creepers are also getting scarce now, sadly.
We see a rather young Prince Charles, so I'd like to know since when he has been interested in gardening and protecting nature.
