Well, he also called XXXXXX "5X" the entire game, it's not just math that he's bad at, it's also basic counting to 6 :)

This really highlights the awesome work of the FAF devs who fixed ASF fights - that air fight at the end... I expected it to -10!

Regarding the "Where did the reclaim of the air player come from?" @7:09: Your assumption is correct, it's all in the trees. They don't show up in the reclaim counter, but there is about 35k mass (and 350k energy) in trees on setons, so an air player with a clean BO will be able to reclaim 6-8k mass before their T3 air HQ is done

That was easly winnable, 3 more SMDs and they were set. I get that they were exhausted by playing a 1h game, but with mavor, 2 novaxes and air control they could have slowly cleared the other side of the map leaving southern team only on SACU Eco and then its attriton war when southern team is the underdog

For them, the speed was probably greater than 1 hr. As the game speed for them is actually going to be slower thana replay. This is because they're actually going to be looking at the game closer to ground,. which effects sim speed, and the game has to notch it down for everyone if one person drops. And they're actively making commands. Where as a replay isn't making commands, but rather showing copies of the commands. The massive commands being made, and ones that effect basically a hoard of units at once, drop sim speed. So their game could've taken 2 hours to three, while Replay doesn't slow down and can take only an hour.

The last SMD *did* launch, you can see it literally flying up and down trying to hit the nuke but it hit the ground first.

it didn't fire as it was supposed to. a anti can normally shoot down up to 5 nukes before it's reload rate is overwhelmed. the anti fired late, probably cause it was at the edge of it's range.

I love them as well, but I don't think it's spoilly, the northern team could of won this despite losing the map control, I've casted multiple games where the team with almost no map control playing defensively and turtling wins the game.

I normally okay with full share but like you said it was not balance well at all. It shows.

full share barely effected this one imo, JT__ was one of the lower rated players. he played above his level for sure but without full share the game is decided at 5 minutes when mrscience dies.

Supreme commander forged alliance. Played on the forged alliance forever community servers is what you are watching. This game is only really played on PC, it was technically launched on Xbox 360 though. All the players are real people. This is a replay, so yes it's spectator mode. The players have fog of war and there is a vision and Intel system. Yes there is micro.

It's a great game. And pleasantly cheap, especially if you buy during one of the regular steam sales. Give it a try and see how you get on. Don't worry if you play a lot less well than the players in this cast. That's all part of the fun, getting up to speed with the depth of this game.

To answer the other questions: It's a replay. When a game is finished it is stored on the server and you can browse and, well, replay them. Like a post mortem spectator mode. You can watch everything like he did but you could also limit the view to what individual players can see. The players basically see the same minus fog of war. Note that Willow basically watched the entire game zoomed out but you could zoom in as much as you want until you can see every single bolt and antenna of those units. Is there micro? Hell, yes! For starters, this game uses actual physics to calculate every single shot in the game which means you can dodge shells, arty could hit air units mid flight etc. But there also lots of other things you could micro from engineers manually reclaiming attacking units to target prioritization all the way to insane tricks like hoverbombing, building but not finishing buildings to block escape paths all up to control-k (self-detonate) bombers mid-flight so their wreck crashed down through shields and killing off their target through impact. All of that from a game that is now 16 years old.

I would have nuked the air player on top team if I was yellow team u gonna be useless them you are not wasting valuable space
