I am a longbow user! When I use quick fire quick shot on a survival bow, it feels like a machine gun 😂 (And I am about as accurate as I would be with a machine gun too)

Hey dark harvester, why use the survival bow? Ive been trying out stuff besides the longbow, and i foums the recurve a solid middle ground. What makes the survival bow great over the other two?

The survival now utilizes move speed because it has the least amount of move speed penalty which allows you to get out of sticky situations like ambush rogue, druid panther, barb rage, fighter sprint. And it also utilizes true phys damage the best because it shoots the fastest. Meaning if you stack 7 true phy dmg with the survival bow, it slaps people. It’s best for solo because you don’t have a frontline that can tank for you.

Why not use forseful shot with quick shot for survival bow? It works surprisingly well in case someone is trying to push you.

This is great! But it’s mostly viable in solos because in duos and trios, you have a front line to tank so you don’t need to kite as much. You can also devastate enemies from afar with longbow and medium range with recurve. But survival bow engagements can’t handle much distance

@@thedarkharvester that's true, for me it feels that survival bow is in weird niche of its own. It is the smallest range ranged weapon with insane drop, slow velocity and small damage but can still work surprisingly well if you base you build and playstyle around it. But mostly against melee classes and mages, decent rangers or even fighters with recurves or longbows will outrange you hard.

@thedarkharvester I just started playing ranger and what has quickly made me get used to using that ability is forcing myself to use it when fighting pve. That way it's just second nature when pvping

Hey Kakao! I would run Longbow focusing on physical power bonus while in trios with shotgun and quick shot. You want that strong sniper support for your team. In solos, I would run the recurve or survival bow with 7 true phys and high movespeed. (move speed should be at least 315 in solos). And yes! Just practice and you will get much better. I miss shots all the time still but I am much better than when I first started.
