This time we started the hike from the locality Falconry Červený rybník/ Šafránkovo Animal Husbandry. After overcoming a few meanders of the dark Lakšárský brook, we set out on a journey through typical Záhorie forests, made up mainly of pines and oaks. A variation of their pleasant monotony came soon - it was the Červený rybník nature reserve. This interesting, seemingly rather gray-black lake was formed in a local depression on impermeable bedrock. Alders grow mainly here, and rare peat bogs are also found here. We continued along the educational trail to the hunting lodge Lásek and later to the water reservoir Horná studená voda. It is surrounded by a cottage settlement and a reed, where waterfowl of various kinds live. In the nearby village of Tomky, we found some well-preserved Zahorie houses. The last piece of the route ran parallel to the Grgás stream through a more boring open area, whose liveliness was luckily sometimes replaced by a view of the Carpathians. The last attraction of our tour, the Hrabovec lookout tower, was again hidden in a pine tree forest. Unfortunately, it no longer seemed safe enough to climb. This was also indicated by the fact that someone removed the bottom of the ladder just in case. And in addition, it was quite oblique (as can be seen in the video). Therefore, we gave up the view of the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area and filmed the sunset from the ground. From here it was only a short walk to the start of our journey.
