To anyone wondering, this can easily be done with a piece of wood, a hammer, and a screwdriver. Hammer out the bearing with a screwdriver and hammer. Then use the wood to push the new bearings in while hammering the back of the wood

You’re right. It is for most people. I was referring to the literal SST (special service tool) a single purpose tool designed to do 1 specific job. If one is lucky enough to have a hydraulic press, it gets used all the time for lots of different tasks… one of those tools that you never need until u have one, then becomes extremely useful.

You cud tap it in with a $50 bearing and seal press or a large socket that only contacts the outer bearing race.
