Cool video, I'm a noob at adding some fork oil to help lube air systems, I tried KYB 01m oil in AER 48 fork, so Smooth, and I used 5wt, belray in a mtn bike, WIN WIN for me!! I'll check out the forks again with 40 hours on them(my AER fork is always dry with just the grease). Can't wait to see how your forks compare on your Sur Rons.

I've notice today the oil was uzing a bit on the air side, so maybe having it there was not the best idea.. But I'm waiting on a axle nut and a rear tire to be able to do a proper test.

@@vegasromaniac What do you mean the oil was a bit on the air side? Would you recommend just the grease and skip the oil? I've heard mixed things on the subject. Thanks for the great video!

Vegas RoManiac, can you help? I've the same DNM USD-8 forks, but neither of the two caliper adapters fit those two, very close together mounting holes. I'm using Magura 220mm rotors, and none of the adapters i see on Magura's or Amazon's websites look like they will work, do you know where i can purchase caliper adapters that should fit this fork, for 220mm rotors please?

Did it leak oil from the rebound leg after you rode it like that ? Because I did this and it does make it work better however after riding I had oil leaking from the bottom very slow drops what I think happened is the oil you add to the top around 8:00 min started to bubble and you said it went somewhere I believe it finds its way between the cartridge tube and stanchion tube if you check there is two small gaps where the tube screw together the threads are large and no orings .also curious why you never show how to remove dust wipers ?

For high end MTB forks you would normally want to use slick honey or SRAM butter (its the same thing and super slippery). That said any generic MTB suspension grease would be better then nothing. I would also recommend cleaning the forks and stanchions with rubbing alcohol and lint free paper towels and making sure the table is clean too.
