    My bar raiser asked 2 of 4 questions and probed twice on each question; this took 25-30 minutes. They stopped at two because they had enough information/metrics from my first two responses that asking the other questions was unnecessary. We then spent 30-35 minutes on questions I had for them about their FC and it was an insightful, conversational experience.

    Nope no difference at all in the questions between levels. The increases in complexity according to level comes from you the candidate. More complex examples are expected from more senior candidates. Interviewers choose what ever questions they like- nothing is purpose curate for role or level. Hope that helps. If you do sign up to the Academy we also have a members only discord community that you can drop questions into. There I or other candidates/in coming Amazonians will answer.

    Hello there, thank you for these awesome informational videos. Recently, I had a loop round interview, in which the interviewer had to reschedule the interview multiple times in a day. When finally he could make it to the interview, he started off in an OK pace, but after that he started to rush through the interview, not waiting for my answers to complete. Once het got the answers he was looking for, he just stopped me and moved to next question. In total, he asked me 6-7 questions during that session.. From your above input, do I need to draw the conclusion that my interviewer is not ok with my response or is there a different take in my case? Thank you.

    Hi, I’ve been working for an upcoming phone interview for an Account Manager role at Amazon. I have been preparing 2 examples corresponding to each leadership principle. When I practised those based on STAR method each answer took me about 3-4 minutes to say it. When you say one can be asked at most 3 behavioural questions in a single interview session….how much of detail should I expect…?? They tend to spend that much time for follow-up questions for each behavioural question?

  • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503

    @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503

    2 жыл бұрын

    I don't say at most- I say best practice is to aim for 3. Some interviewers will only ask 1 and if your answers aren't very detailed or complex you could go well above 3 in 45mins. But I encourage you to just think about the maths. If your interview is 45mins long Take 10min off for hellos at start and questions at end Leaves you with 35min Say your answer is 4min long and follow ups are +25% of the time you spend (so an extra 1min). That's only 5 min per answer. 5mins divided by 35 min is 7 questions per interviewer If you're at loop (final round) the average is to have 5 interviewers. 7 questions per interviewer x 5 interviewers is 35 questions. Many people will have already had early rounds some have 1 some have 2 but let's be conservative as there will be a mix of non behavioral questions in early rounds. So let's say an additional 7 questions in early rounds. That takes us to 42 questions. That's an ridiculous number of high quality, relatively recent examples to expect a candidate to come up with. So yes- as a candidate I'd want materially more time spent discussing examples than 5mins.

    So I just finished all my amazon interviews for Account Manager/Brand Specialist, in my case they were: online language assesment (Italian speaking role), then recruiter prep call, then technical/behavioral interview with the team manager, they were 3 questions and the interview lasted for about an hour and 20 minutes actually! he gave me a positive feedback right away at the end of the interview though, then one more recruiter prep call, then 2 weeks later 3 back-to-back behavioral interviews without a break, I honestly didn't appreciate that :"D but hey you get it over with in one go, 1st interview lasted around an hour, 4 behavioral questions, then asked me why I want this role and also let me know he thought it was a good interview, 2nd interview: 2 questions lasted around 45 minutes no feedback, 3rd interview also had a shadow joiner just as a listener, again 2 questions and lasted around 35-40 minutes, no feedback, and man by that point I was just exhausted I'm not even sure if I was giving great answers :"D but hey I'm proud I lasted till the end.
