Surprising My Girlfriend With a Joyride In The Cessna Citation 501!!
Today we fly the Cessna Citation 501 over to California to surprise my girlfriend with her first private jet experience. We bought this plane 4 months ago sight unseen and flew it back home 1,800 miles. For being a cheap old jet, this plane is awesome! I flew a Cessna Citation C500 SN 018 with a large door in Northern Ontario this video brought back a lot of memories of the good old days. The quality and detail of some of the cockpit video is outstanding. I shared your video so some of my friends and family could see what I used to do for a living. You had it all. head winds, chop, ice, I love your channel.
So cool man! Loved seeing how excited they are. Crazy how fast the landing gear came up as well lol
Loved the cockpit audio and instructional tidbits. Please do more of that on this channel! You have plenty of certified pilots on here that get it and want to learn more.
Great seeing you guys enjoy your flying. Its really great to see you people focused, becoming pilots, and successful enough to afford the Citation. Keep up the great content here!

Man what a life .😅One day i hope in my life time i will get the break to fly in a jet.😅
Really enjoyed all of the personalities onboard. It's great your crew got together for your birthday. Aviation makes the world a much smaller place.
Super fun flight - the excitement was warranted, what a treat.
Thanks for joining me digitally into a private jet plane journey because it’s so much different than flying with airlines. Look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands
Love the video!! You have an awesome life! Good for you guys!!
Jets, Bonanza, cars and a pretty girlfriend. What a life.
Once again, you make it very entertaining to watch. I really enjoyed watching you guys do the RNAV GPS approach into 26R at CNO. I've flown that many times in a piston, nice to see it in the Citation. Keep up the great work..... :^)
It’s so cool to have seen almost your entire journey, I joined when you got the Ferrari 355. However, a CJ1….breaks my heart this is the first jet. I’ve worked in private aviation for a while and I hate CJ’s 😂
What a fun video!!!! The take-off sequence was EPIC!!!!!
Aaahhh WOW!!!! Awesome. Can't wait for the next vid. Please show us what is in the refreshment centre.
Fantastic Video 👍👍Your Team are doing a great job Bud 👍👍
Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.
9:18 Never gets old with that amazing PW Turbofans
"Where do you want to do the run up?" Huh? That took me by surprise. This model Citation reminds me of the day back in the late 1970's (?) while listening to my multiband radio. A Citation was going to land at KWVI. I grabbed my camera - I didn't want to miss it. I got pictures of the jet on downwind, base, final and when it pulled up and parked. It was our airport manager who also was chief pilot for Granite Construction. It was their maiden flight to home base. I later gave the pictures and negatives (yeah, back when most cameras used film) to the co-pilot so he could add them to the company archives.
Love the aviation stuff you guys are doing, hope i can one day own my own plane and get my license even tho its very expensive.
Life is sweet when youre young and well funded!!!! Fun stuff! Bet those bumps keep everyone thinking!
You got this, Captain! Another great flight!🛩
Team JR and Owen, always fun to watch; live the life guys👍
Congratulations on 100k subs🎉 you vids are amazing
U give mi courage to work hard ❤ thnx bruh ( Africa Uganda 🇺🇬) we love u.
Surprised that airplane is still flying, one of the slowest jets yet it burns a ton on fuel. Sierra Aviation has a wing extension that makes the plane super efficient at higher altitudes I believe all the way to fl450. The engines are FJ44. There is a converted citation on Controller. Quite the value.
Nice, but if I had that kind of money, I'd fly a King Air 350 i and park the plane at my house. With my MD 500, you know back and forth to the office. Maybe a TBM for short flights. Something for the wife to run around in. It's always a plus to get in and out of your favorite ski resort. We'll happy flying.
The eye candy makes your videos POP! Good Job.
I love the teaching!!!!!!!
All you guys are top notch people.
You don't know how lucky you guys are! I mean really lucky! I wish I could be in your shoes after watching this video. There's no Chick-fil-A here.
Fire video, fun time flying with the boyz
New to your channel, love the content. Have you guys thought about signing up for Angel Flights? Especially now with the Citation? Would love to see those flights.
Sick experience! New to the channel… what’s the business model here? Haha I know it’s not KZread. Do you rent/charter out all these planes?
Makes me wish i had been successful in life. What a joy! Looks amazing 🎉
How far was the trip and how long did it take? Great video great description
Cool video. What tablet is that you're using?
Hey guys, also wanted to share a cool adventure I had as a pilot with meanwhile 25,000 or so hours of flight experience (which is obviously nothing by Russian or Usbek practice standards 😌). But yeah, imagine flying a Citation X (fastest biz jet 🛩️ in the world actually 😏) from Reykjavík to Zürich with a surprise stopover in Belgium. And guess who's on board? A group of music groupies from THAT Brit pop rockstar of the early 2000s! 🎉 The modern avionics of this particular Citation model added an exciting touch to the journey. We explored a charming town during our unplanned stopover, and the excitement continued when we landed in Zürich. The trip ended with an epic party that rocked the city (won’t go into too much detail here 😝🤭😜). Well, this adventure reminds me how aviation brings unexpected connections and unforgettable memories. Stay curious, stay safe, and enjoy the skies!
Glad we got to get Sasha down for this one 😎🤙 the 11.4 Hobbs time was worth it. I’ll join next time!

You should!
I used to fly that jet out of Statesville, NC before it was purchased.
I would absolutely 100% have to be type rated before I could buy a plane like that. There's NO WAY I'm NOT flying that beauty myself at least 1 leg of the trip each time. NO WAY!! It's GREAT to have pilot friends, especially type rated across the board, but no.. no no I'd NEED to have all my certs and ratings.. no doubt!! What a GREAT day for you all and your GF to have a BLAST on that -too bad the headwinds will KILL your fuel economy but it's totally worth it!!)
this guy is amazing, in fact all legends
When you’re Ready to Upgrade the Interior of the Aircraft, please consider Citadel in Lake Charles, LA. 😃
You better watch out Sasha was a natural with the outro. She is going to take over JR Aviation so she can get free rides on the private jet to come see you.
Sick, love your vids guys.(:
"They look so innocent and fluffy..." haha, exactly how I feel.
About a dollar pr km best case. Actually not too bad. Similar to a single person driving a mustang if the plane has 6 pax. Could be better but not obscene for the luxury. Of course it adds up when you move fast and go far. Can the seats be reupholstered to a modern white for reasonable money or does that involve plane tax? Similarly can a single glass panel be installed or is that a 200 grand research project. Modern interior really livens it up.
I love watching you guys fly on Owen also?
Question do you do private trips in the 501 to recoup money a pay for maintenance on the jet? As well as is that a profitable business to get into?
Your video made me smile... thanks...
Those bumps were definitely not moderate chop 😮😳🤣🤣🤣🤣
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
How long ago was this recorded? We had some huge winds in the bay area here for a while.. then some about 2 weeks ago that was crazy!

Joe made the sugar cookies; Susan decorated them.
i want to see a video everyone has been thinking about, these young kids dads handing them his credit card
14:22 I hope he knows that you can't just do LPV minimums because you want. Your aircraft suppose to be equipped with GPS capable of WAAS LPV, basically you should be showing letters LPV on your FMA
If the jet takes about 500 gallons of fuel, and that’s equivalent in volume to about five 96 gallon garbage/recycling bins, where exactly is all that fuel stored?
Great video 🤩
Enjoyed the content, good stuff. Hey, Chick-fil-A, show me the money!
I told my girlfriend I was going to buy a jet, but was going to shine on the lessons and license…I told her I could figure it out. How hard could it be? 😂
Nice fun vid!
buttered that landing
I feel like that would just be so expensive to own. I would go with something like a Pilatis PC-12.
Smart about had wind versions tail wind
Absolutely cool airplane, by LORD, the girlfriend is gorgeous!
I think its time for JR to go get that PPL 🤷♂️
Can you come pick me up in Connecticut and then fly me out to Italy because I've never been on a private jet and I've always wanted to go to Italy LOL just kidding I love you videos keep making them this is fun stuff to watch I would love to be able to do the stuff you guys do. But never would have the money
Way to go, man!
My boat burns the same amount of fuel lol. I should get into aviation.
Today I bought a raincoat and wore it on a sunny day.
🤙 Thank y for sharing
I love the way they courprate
Why does the tail number not come up valid? It shows not assigned to your aircraft.
What is the rate of climb on this bad boy?!? How long from 6000 up to 21k?
No speed brakes on landing ?
Great video but you don"t let me know how to sweep up enough hay to pay for a citation ?
Love vídeo ❤️
Nice video!
nice! what a sweet, beautiful lady. I'd fly her anywhere she wanted to go.
Are you partner with Ricky on the citation? Im a fan of the LPP and Ricky
I just found my fav channel

1 gallon Jet A is $1.40 in Kenya 🇰🇪
Getting a girlfriend is harder than getting a 501
Hi, I have a type rating on C525A and i would love to fly for free. I just need some time building .I have close to 600hrs
I fly E145s for JSX and we have Starlink in our aircraft. I believe it runs about $7,000 a month to have it in just one of our aircraft.

Ouch, still not cheap
What I doing in Europa, they are buying some jets only most of time in companies and property people are not so important. I am waiting licence car witch will allows to fly and cross Manche to land on Great Britain. Beautifull jet with traditional commnads are working always not as screen monitors could stop most of commands in case of unworking.
Jet fuel is basically a Diesel/Kerosene based fuel so less refining than gasoline.
Jet A being cheaper than 87 octane is price gouging! aha
Move that jet aside...anyone trying to glimpse at that class A. RV
Jeffrey man!!!!😎💯🛫🛩✈🛬 I'd love to fly and hangout with you guys. 🎵 I'm so excited I just can't hide it🎶
Amazing amazing
