Surprise Gig Adventure: Simple Minds and Del Amitri in Llangollen
WOW what a night! The journey to the venue was breathtaking, travelling through the Welsh hills and up and over the Horseshoe Pass, driving down into Llangollen for the gig. Enjoy some short clips of two incredible bands we love, Simple Minds and Del Amitri.

Me and my good lady were there and it was the best.. Simple minds were class and the girl drummer was the GOAT thank you simple minds for a great night ❤️

Myself and the Mrs were there last night also . What an amazing gig , had seen them earlier In the year in Cardiff but there was something different about last night ......loved it , the atmosphere was amazing and llangollen is stunning ....wow

It was amazing, Del Amitri were fantastic too. We saw Simple Minds in Liverpool a couple of years back, they were obviously brilliant, but yes, it felt like a more intimate gig and was lovely to have it semi-outdoors. When we were driving home, the sky was amazing, like a deep purple with the almost full moon. Pretty perfect evening 🙂 Glad you both enjoyed it too, hope you have some more gigs lined up for the summer 🌞

@SueAndSarah we were lucky to be staying in a little lodge not too far from the venue , we could hear them through the day doing the soundchecks , It was an amazing experience sitting in the hot tub listening to it all , no gigs planned as yet but I'm sure we will find a few before the end of the year , this one will take some beating tho . I'm glad you both had an awsome time , the drive home sounded amazing ❤️
Great combination... Would like to see them two bands hopefully in future

agreed the actual venue made it for us nothing like the usual arena venues you found yourself talking to like minded people and having a ball which doesn't happen in arena's and the location wow a few beers in the corn mill looking out over the river both b4 and after the gig really made it special for us.

we were there too right at the front brilliant nt, 7th time ive seen them 1st was milton keynes bowl in 1986 .

We would recommend visiting to 20th Century gothic cottage Plas Newydd where The Ladies of Llangollen once lived. Also, take a horse drawn boat along the canal 😍
