Surprise Christmas Homecoming Welcome at Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport is a very special place at Christmas time when families and loved ones are reunited. We heard about the O'Connor family from West Limerick who wanted to offer a very special welcome home for their youngest daughter Carmel who was travelling from Brisbane in Australia to spend Christmas with her family for the first time in four years. So we agreed to help the O'Connor family plan a special welcome home for Carmel, which included filming Carmel's arrival at the airport. The surprise welcome also included a performance by Draíoct, a folk music group that has appeared on The Late Late Show, and which includes Carmel’s younger brother Jack. What we didn’t know was that Carmel had a Christmas surprise of her own.

that last bit brought a tear to my eye. im an australian living in ireland and i haven't seen my family in 13 years so i am dreaming of the day when i come home.

wonderful,reminds me of my daughter and grandson in new zealand,wish they were here,happy christmas everybody.
this wonderful clip also sends out a little message of hope: People are emigrating, but people are also coming back. I find this video very touching. Carmell, I don't know you, but Welcome back! Happy christmas everryone!

Apparently the band is called 'Draíocht' which is an Irish Gaelic word that means 'Magic' - brilliant so and what more could you ask for to welcome Carmel home!
