    Man these prices are RIDICULOUS... I’ve been out here about two years now and the cost for housing has skyrocketed... I can’t lie I’m glad I got my house before it happened... Folks were saying wait until after Covid to buy because the prices will drop even more... HELL NAW!!!... Still cheaper than San Diego but hella high for desert living

    They may drop a little bit but nothing like what people are expecting. They are expecting them to crash like they did in 2008 but that wont happen. I am happy I also bought my home before the spike.

    This is because of the Covid-Rental Eviction BAN!! This how the Apartment and Real-Estate industry gets back what they feel they've lost during this crazy time. At the end of the day it's all wrong and a huge scam.

    Anyone who wants to move to Az needs to visit end of July into August for a few days to see if you can handle the heat. And keep in mind we don’t have the typical 3 month summers the rest of the country has. Don’t know how many times I’ve watched a newscast where people are hiking midday and fall out from heatstroke. We who live here do most activities early morning or when the Sun goes down( though it’s still in the 100s, but at least there’s no Sun with it.) So don’t assume you’ll be able to necessarily hang outside for all of those 333 days.

    I lived 2 blocks away in Royal Ranch from 2004 to 2006 and watched the park, library, ball park be built. Ottowa University of Arizona (OUAZ) is next to the park and lake. It's a very large school with a big football team, dorms etc. That school being there adds to those rent prices. In 2004 surprise had about 45,000 people, now over 150,000! It's still growing very fast too!

  • @jermperture9094

    @jermperture9094

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@DB-vz6xk in my opinion, the biggest cons are (1) the floors are very thin, so sound from upstairs neighbors travels, (2) the terms for ending the lease early are insane (3) there is a mandatory trash valet service that is like $200+ish/year. It's convenient but also not really necessary and you can't opt out. Other than that it's really well kept and the office staff is nice when you speak to them. The pools and gym are also really nice and usually empty.

For that price you could purchase a home., With 2,3,or 4 bedrooms and 2 or more full baths, and a 2 car garage, plus a patio in the back. Arizona is a magnificent place to be, Beautiful Scenery, places for Entertainment, Retail Shops everywhere, and don't forget the Mountains and the Sunny Weather, My Place to be at. I just moved to Surprise a couple of months ago from Southern California (Simi Valley). Armed with the ability to work from home permanently, the Phoenix area was a logical and less expensive choice with Surprise rising to the top in terms of amenities and diversity in a suburb. In spite of being a Los Angeles Dodgers fan, it’s Ironic that I was born and raised in Kansas City only to end up moving to their spring training home. Maybe I’ll see you at the Grown Folks Wine Festival on June 19th at Mark Coronado Park right down the street from the apartment complex in this video!

    Nice tour. I believe prices are such because of the proximity to the baseball field. Also possible that is temp housing for players during spring training. I am near the spring train fields in Mesa and have spoke with some of the players . I know that some keep permanent housing in area, but others have temp housing. Leaving owners or apt managers to drive the prices for the demand

    You would think that's the reason for the high price but....prices have jumped high all over the valley. No city has been untouched.

    So we are relocating to chandler and as we look for apartments ( temp stay before house ) I noticed they highlight “trash valet “ what the? Is this an AZ thing ? Curious

    That's steep, but that's what our market is doing. This is bad for renter's but great for us landlords. We just rented out our 4bed property at a fair price In a better area (imo) we didn't want to price gouge someone needing housing, so we listed it under market price. but its right next to Cubs spring training, Tempe Marketplace place. Short drive to Mill or old Town Scottsdale

    I was born in Phoenix, grew up in Mesa and graduated from UofA. I moved to San Diego in 04. I just knew you were going to say the unit was around $900...but you said $1472?!! Does that include utilities cuz you know the light bill is at least $200/mo for half the year. Sounds like AZ getting just as ridiculous as California.

    Nice apt. but that $ amt. is off the charts! No way, Jose! Caught your vlog on the Metro apt. in 'crack city' yesterday. Am renting in an area near there. It's why I would not live close to Metro. It's been a depressed area for some time, lots of homeless and drug addicts over there. We see it near our neighborhood as well, not far away. It's sad what is happening to the youth and our country! Btw, thanks for your tours. I am curious about rents as I may move and it's nice you are on the ground checking different areas and appreciate your posting. I wasn't expecting that Metro one yesterday, to just suddenly pop up in my YT feed. One thing I do like about that Metro area is the convenience of lots of places to eat and shop within a four square mile area.

    I lived in this complex last year. For a short time my mom was actually my neighbor but that’s beside the point. When she rented her two bedroom it was $980 a month, my one bedroom was $1200. Nice complex in a safe area but still way too expensive. Trash valet service for $20 a month you can’t opt out of and pest control is extra also. Moved to Sioux Falls, SD this year and never looked back. I pay $880 a month for a bigger apartment than this 😂

    That apartment complex will be turning into a condo that you can purchase within the next 5 years. That's how they do it out here in Arizona. Owners of the complex want to get all the Kinks out while renting the units. Then they will sell it as condo period in other words, each unit will be sold. That trend is happening all over the valley
