You can absolutely play the song he played. It might take you anywhere from 2-3 years starting from a beginner but focusing on his style. There’s not one guitarist that is a master of all techniques but every great guitarist is know for their “thing” Satriani is the legato and phrasing/melody master. You can play his songs and many people can play his stuff but they don’t sound like him at all. Feeling from notes comes from the soul and finger tips. That shit can’t be replicated but you can get close. I highly suggest guitar players study Joe satriani because his music speaks from his soul. He actually isn’t a shredder at all and hates using his pick when his tapping because to him it takes away his soul he can put into it… for ex just the pressure you pick a string it’s called “the attack” changes that notes sound even though it’s the same note.

I know this video doesn't have as many views as most of your other reaction videos but I'm glad you put it up. What a treat! I always remember seeing the album cover with the Silver Surfer on it but I never heard what was on it. When I hear something like that I just can't imagine how many hours of practice it takes to master your instrument that way, both guitar and drums! Thanks for sharing, Frodo.

Always with me always with you....was my favourite. Even though it brings sad memories as well when a car load of teenagers from my school died this song was played at one of their funerals.
