If you like Del, listen to his rap crew Hieroglyphics. Their song Powers That Be is amazing. Opio goes first, then Tajai, Del and Pep love closes.

3030 is one of those albums that really got me into rap. Back in highschool I used to sneak out with my buddies before class started and smoke a bit and then sit in my first class with my headphones in, just letting this album take me on a journey. From here I got into Aesop Rock who is one of the most impressive musicians and writers I have ever heard in my life. From there I just went down the rabbit hole and now half my playlist is hiphop and the other half is metal.

I saw Del in Seattle and he opened with Virus and the bass just shook the whole place - like, soul-rattling bass - it was so amazing. Thanks for doing this song!

3030 is a masterpiece.

I used to lay on the beach in the sand with my friends and get baked while listening to this along with the likes of DOOM, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Wu Tang, etc etc.

I saw them in 2014 when they came to my hometown on the Event 2 tour. They did most of the first record with the second one mixed in. Everybody was on point. They had a live bassist, guitar player, and drummer, with Automator playing the beats on this tiny beatpad on the stage. Kid Kohala was scratching all the sound effects, and had this synthesizer wall. They ended the show with an encore of Clint Eastwood by The Gorillaz. Its one of Del's most memorable verses, and Dan the automator produced 3030 while working on the first Gorillaz, and Del's excelent solo album Both Sides of the Brain.

Del dope. Nice review Frodo. Buggin out by A Tribe Called Quest. Not sure if we have done this yet but sick baseline and a hip hop classic

That was a really Good reaction. Judging from all the Megadeth clothing you seem like someone who can appreciate the technical side of music. That was cool to see someone react to such an obscure classic hip hop song and appreciate it.

Probably the most unique rap album Ive heard in terms of concept. I never heard of a rap scifi concept album, and the story telling is really dope.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned that Del is Ice Cube’s cousin.

This entire album is a must-listen. From beginning to end, there is no track that I’ll skip on this masterpiece.

You have to do “Press Rewind” off the album BOTH SIDES OF THE BRAIN, trust me its named that for a reason
