Surfing's Olympic debut brought together the world's best. In the women's competition, bronze was taken by Japan's Amuro Tsuzuki. And America's Carissa Moore took the gold, after beating Bianca Buytentag from South Africa. In the men's event, Australia got their first surfing medal, when Owen Wright won bronze. Japan took another silver, through Kanoa Igarashi. Brazil's Italo Ferreira became the first Olympic champion in surfing!
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

I love Surfing but never like sports with judging. Boxing in particular is a big farce these days.

They cant control waves. Can they? So how is it even possible to have a standard or a scale to evaluate the perfomance in the more or less fair impartial way? When all the waves are different, therefore the condition is different for each contestant?
